Venice is like one large open air museum.

Venice is like one large open air museum. We didn’t spend too much time visiting musea, churches etc. because the weather was nice and it was just wonderful to wander around. All different areas in Venice are worthwhile visiting and have all a very different character. We did a vaporetto trip to Burano, Murano and Torcello and must say our favourite by far was Burano. Although you can spend a long time in Venice, you get tired (and saturated), so more and shorter trips would be my advice (we spend 3.5 days this time and it was a good length). We went in early March which was a good time to visit. Not too busy and temperature was ok. If you don’t want to pay for a gondola tour, you can use the traghetto crossings. Short but fun (and in a gondola).

What a fun unique gorgeous city!

What a fun unique gorgeous city! We planned to stay in Rome, our first trip to Italy. We did a day trip to Pompeii and Almafi. And then we decided to take the train and one night to Venice. So glad we did. The train ride up was about 5 hours, but after walking in Rome it was a nice relaxing trip and fun to see the Italy countryside. The train was nice, would love to plan other stops such as Florence in the future. Venice was fun to get to, especially over the water. We just did one night stay, and made our afternoon and next morning worthwhile. Definitely would love to go back for longer, the hotel and area was fun, and with more planning more to explore! Our gondoler was great. The water taxi was also wonderful. Every turn was picturesque. Definitely would love to explore and stay longer!

It's tooooo expensive and the food is not good everywhere. You have to pay a lot to have a decent food. It's a beautiful place to visit, but just for 1-2 nights. it's overcrowded and there are shops and people selling things everywhere!!! Too much noise. Venice has lost its local features due to money exploitation. So sorry

We had apartment in excellent location, ten minutes’ walk from piazza S. Marco. At this time of the year there were just right number of tourists so that city doesn’t look empty but at the same time the crowd was not too big, and it was possible to find place in the restaurants without much trouble. We were pleasantly surprised with prices in restaurants and cafes and the food was as expected very good.

It was a nice size for a family of 4 in a very convenient location in Venice. There was a supermarket (Coop)very nearby. Lucia was excellent at communicating with us and gave us helpful directions and suggestions for places around Venice. This apartment was a great place to stay. Our family enjoyed it very much. The kitchen supplies and washing machine were helpful. A note: set up a WhatsApp acct. to communicate with properties in Italy bc booking.com doesn’t seem to be a reliable way to communicate.

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL BOUTIQUE HOTEL, AND FOR FIRST TIME TRAVELORS TO VENICE IT WAS THE PERFECT LOCATION. IT IS IN THE HEART IF THE BEST PART OF VENICE, AND ALLOWS EASY ACCESS TO EVERYWHERE ELSE. THE ROOM IS BEAUTIFULLY SET UP, COSY, CLEANED DAILY, AND SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. WE HAD A SMALLER ROOM COMPARED TO OTHERS BUT IT WAS PERFECT FOR THE TWO OF US. THE STAFF ARE FANTASTIC AND HELPUL, AND WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO ENSURE WE WERE COMFORTABLE. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN AND AGAIN IF I RETURN TO VENICE.

The staff was very welcoming! They spoke English and gave us terrific information about which attractions in Venice were a must to see. The room was in a great location near St. Marcos, the room was beautiful, the and the beds were comfortable. It’s been EXTREMELY HOT in Italy, so when the description says air conditioning, we expected the room to be cool all the way through, and it was perfect!! The bathroom was nice and big. We appreciated the shower water pressure, very much.

The perfect place, I mean location, but see below "What didn't you like". It is just around ten minutes of walk to square of Saint Mark. A lot of cafeterias and restaurants around. "Coop" convenient store is nearby, around five minutes of walk, where you can buy almost everything you need. The warmest hotel I visited during my trip to Italy.
