Located on the Atlantic Ocean, the cosmopolitan Cassablanca is the largest city in Morocco although Rabat is the political capital. This colorful city features lively traditional markets and narrow streets full of spices and aromas.
Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the Hassan II Mosque has the tallest minaret in the world. Made of hand-crafted marble, this beautiful mosque blends the Islamic architecture with Moroccan elements. Situated in the heart of Morocco, the modern Port of Casablanca is the largest one in North Africa and one of the largest artificial ports in the world.
The traditional market of Quartier Habous has a great variety of handmade Arabic carpets, metal wares and a huge olive area. The shopping paradise of the Exposition Nationale d'Artisanat is the place to buy local products, souvenirs and quality leather goods.
The Boulevard Muhammad V is Casablanca’s busiest street linking the Place des Nations Unies with the railway station in the east of the city. If you are looking for relaxation, visit one of the local Turkish baths and enjoy soothing spa treatments. Booking.com offers a big selection of hotels in Casablanca with wellness facilities.
Mohammed V International Airport is the busiest airport in Morroco, serving many European countries. The train station of Casablanca Voyageurs connects the city with Marrakech and Tangier.
Casablanca is not really a must-go destination. The old center is pretty dirty and the buildings are not maintained, plenty of them abandoned. Some of the streets in the center almost have the authentic vibe from the movies, but i felt too insecure there. Nothing bad happened to me, but the feeling of being unsafe ruined my experience. Is not really a tourist-friendly city to visit, with staff in restaurants rarely speaking English. I went a 6-day trip (2-3 days in Rabat, 2x Casablanca, and 2x Marrakech), as instead i would recommend 2 days in Rabat, half a day (nor not visiting at all) for Casablanca to visit the big Mosque and the beach (without spending time for the old center) and 2-3 days for Marrakech. The bazaar in Marrakech is huge, but i wished i did more shopping in Rabat (where the bazaar is smaller, but the sellers are way more tolerant and not being pushy at all, which made me feel way more comfortable while shopping. Also, prices in Rabat were lower.
Alcohol in Morroco is in general hard to find, but in some Carrefour supermarkets, they have separate rooms (called CAVE) for selling alcohol. Still, it was not easy to find those, as in Google Maps there wasn`t enough information about which ones sell alcohol, and which doesn't.
Street food is also to be avoided, as hygiene is very low.

This was my third city in Morocco after Agadir and Essouria...
This was my third city in Morocco after Agadir and Essouria and it was interesting to see the contrast between the two previous very tourist driven cities and this one. Apart from the Hassan 2nd mosque there are no specific tourist sites here, but there is a lot to do just visiting different parts of the city. It is very much a city of contrasts, some amazing areas with beautiful old buildings and the port area with its new mall. The medina area seemed quite run down and not really much worth visiting there. It is probably more of a city to visit for the experience rather than for anything specific apart from the mosque.

Casablanca is great, vibring and cool. People may say it is not very clean city, but if you like the real north african and maroccan culture....there ist no better place !!! Beauful architecture and Parks. A medina which ist real, not like the overpolished medina in Marrakesch!!! And Casablanca is still Safe...If you like a City which never " sleeps "....that' s your' s

Casablanca except the mosque a big disappointment, one scam...
Casablanca except the mosque a big disappointment, one scam after another. First the mouldy and dirty accommodation, after we woke up we found out from the app that the owner had cancelled the booking as we supposedly hadn't stayed, despite the evidence provided that he was lying, unfortunately Booking support from 26.12.23 to 3.1.24 still hasn't sorted it out, no one has got back to us. I ordered 1 starter in the restaurant, they gave us Moroccan salad in bowls and counted it for 3 people. After dinner while walking to the hotel, a policeman stopped us and made us take a taxi as he said it was not safe to go out after dark. The mosque is beautiful, but they let us wait from 9 o'clock for an english guide and nobody told us he won't come until 10, but we bought the train tickets and had no time to wait 1 hour.. After founding some staff we asked why we were waiting so long, we were assigned to the German group and because of this poor organization we missed half of the guide's explanation.. I plan to go back to Morocco, but I'm going around Casablanca in a big way..

Been driving around Morocco and Casablanca is on another level. They have their own style of driving . No proper junctions or roundabouts you just have to go for the gap if in a car bike or walking. So over crowded 10 times more car's and people than the capital Rabat ands it shows.

There wasn't that much to see there and probably could have done this in a couple of days at most. It was a good base for getting around as there are trains to quite a few main cities from there. The tours usually start from Casablanca too. If you like being left alone whilst travelling this isn't the place to visit though, as you'll be constantly approached by taxi drivers who aren't really taxi drivers, people trying to show you where to go and asking for payment, kids following you around demanding tips and being overcharged for anything that doesn't have the price on it. Would recommend The Patio for food as its a lovely outdoor garden with great service and you can have a conversation even when it's busy. Also a good place for cat lovers as they're everywhere.
The environment is really clean and very organized, nothing was missing at my stay there and everyone was helpful. The apartment was perfect specially with the open terrace where you can seat for a coffe or thé and enjoy your time. It was the most relaxant journey I have made in Morocco , not more than 2 minutes walking to the sea and a really clean and well organized swimming pool at the residence.
Really thankful to the owner of this apartment which was always ready to help us and asking how our stay was going.
We had a family room at this hotel. Huge, comfortable room with additional storage space for bags etc and large bathroom. We were initially given a room which smelled of cigarette smoke (I did not think to specify a non-smoking room when booking), but this was quickly rectified when mentioned to the staff and they immediately gave us a non-smoking room. Great pool, a gym and good breakfast. Short taxi ride to the Hassan II Mosque and Morocco Shopping Centre. Also a great beach club nearby.
This is a hotel in a non-touristic location. Saw many tourist (from out of Morocco) at the hotel but hardly saw any tourist on the streets. Felt completely safe at and around the hotel but would not recommend venturing out too far at night. Great to grab a drink at the terrace at night and see how a local in Casablanca parties on a Sat night.
Furthermore breakfast was quite good.
Location was great next to Casa port Station. Room was good size for Ibis. Very clean. Staff were super lovely and welcoming on reception. Hotel chambermaid was very sweet.
Big shopping centre 10 minutes walk, Hassan 2 mosque 25 mins. Can get bus 5 to both or Morocco mall.
Shower was very powerful I liked this as felt very clean after.
Very friendly staff with a good sized room. The hotel also has a salon on site. After hiking in Morocco’s desert and mountains, having a manicure and pedicure felt luxurious! My husband also took the opportunity to get a badly needed haircut. the staff at the salon, and throughout the hotel was wonderful. We would highly recommend!
Riad Tanjil was a nice refuge of calm after the chaos of traveling through Morocco all day.
Dinner was quite tasty and served when requested.
Shower had excellent pressure and plenty of hot water.
Best coffee I had in the country.
They use quality sheets and supply plenty of towels.
Especially loved all the fur babies.
Breakfast was basic continental with a Morocco style touch, everyday the same.
First I got a room that I considered unacceptable for me. Then at my request the reception people changed my room with one better: larger size, newer furniture, with a minibar, cleaner. Reception people were helpful and nice.
it was very close to the train station, around a 6 minute walk. Groceries and restaurants are also close by so it was convenient. If you will be taking the train from Casablanca to anywhere in Morocco, we recommend this place. Also, Nadia was very accommodating, she even showed us around the place.
I liked the staff are very friendly and professional make me feel valued and they look after my elderly mum very good , smiley faces day and night.
I have been in different hotels in Morocco and in different countries I really likes idou anfa
no alcohol which is good for Muslim family
At the Riad Hamdani I met the friendliest staff who helped me get to the hotel from the airport.
My stay was comfortable and relaxing. Thank you so much for the hospitality and amazing food.
Until next time I wish you all the best.
Perfect location to take an early flight from CMN airport. East check in and access Friendly staff.
Booked last summer, this summer, and will probably book again on my future visits to Morocco :)
Greeting from Montreal ✌️
Beautiful hotel located in the old medina. We spent our first and last nights in Morocco here and really enjoyed our time. It's a great location, staff are lovely, rooms are clean and the breakfast was delicious!
Great location. Breakfast was a vast array of selections--the best we had in Morocco. Staff was super accommodating. They changed our room for us right away when we asked. Comfortable beds.
Brand new apartments were a perfect way to start our trip through Morocco! Everything was so nice and the people made it even better! Highly recommend staying with them here :)
It is located close to the airport and had a free shuttle. The rooms were fine, best shower in Morocco! The dining area was good and the staff very friendly.
