The location is great for walking from, especially with a dog, who was very spoilt at breakfast with 2 sausages to herself. I didn't have to share my breakfast for a change.
Overlooking Richmond's cobbled market square, and the Norman castle, this charming Georgian hotel full of character and warmth is only 6.4 km from the A1. Free WiFi is available on-site.

We love staying at The Fox Hall Inn and have revisited many times now because it is convenient, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, the food is amazing and Chris and staff thoroughly attentive. They are even dog friendly and extremely accommodating when it comes to allowing furpanioms everywhere. Chris’s communication is excellent and always makes us giggle and feel welcome.
A luxury bed and breakfast overlooking Richmond Castle, The Castle House serves a glass of wine or tea/coffee to guests on arrival and there is free Wi-Fi throughout.

Great location in the heart of Richmond. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast at 7 was great - not enough hotels offer this option. Very good value for money.

Lauren was great host. Unkocked the gate to the field so we could let the dog run. We had 3 of the cottages & all were beautiful. Very peaceful with lovely sitting out areas. 20 mins walk to nearest pub & only 3 miles out of Richmond. Would definitely go back. Xx

I liked the friendly people in Richmond. The shops, restaurants, and pubs were all great, and very reasonably priced. The portions in the restaurant were huge everywhere we visited. We used the local gym and spa on a day pass and the facilities were very good for the money we paid. The public transport was easy to use and cheap. The taxis were plentiful, the drivers were friendly and it was very easy to get a taxi.

We have family at Catterick and Richmond is only a few minutes drive from there. We like the Station complex with the shops & cinema, the centre of Richmond around the market place. I recommend the Green Howards museum and the Georgian theatre has a great 1 hour tour for just £8. There is the castle to visit and a nice walk around the castle to try. There are plenty of shops, little cafes, an indoor market, lots of pubs and a variety of take-aways. The market pace is cobbled and some streets away from the centre and very steep and can be hard walking for elderly.

Loved the dramatic landscape of the castle and the river valley around the town. The centre is up a slight hill but parking available in the central market square and down by the river. Some public footpaths available to walk in the countryside around the town. The town gives perhaps a good mornings wandering but with a car you can easily access the beautiful dales.

Great market town, the Saturday market held in the cobbled square was in full swing and very well attended.
Richmond is convenient for the stunning North Yorkshire Dales.
Has its own ruined castle and the beautiful river Swale runs through Richmond, lots of independent shops and the most fabulous fish and chips are to be had from the shop in the middle of the square …they are cooked in dripping and were delicious.
Lovely town to visit

Richmond is a beautiful little town , with many lovely walks , a fine Norman castle and the river Swale running through it with the Foss Water fall and riverside a nice place to picnic in spring and summer time. Richmond has many nice shops , restaurants and welcoming public houses. It’s sits at the entrance to the Yorkshire Dales with many interesting sights to visit not too far away.
Staying @ Low Gingerfield Farm has changed my perception on B/B...especially with covid it was so good not to be with a lot of people as our usual stay in hotels would have been. Everything about the farm was delightful and felt more like we had a cottage than a room. Which was very spacious. Being able to sit out in the gardens was just lovely taking in the fabulous views. Gill, the owner could not do enough for you. Breakfast was great and the afternoon tea was just delicious! A must to stay if you are in the Richmond area.
What a lovely hotel. Recently refurbished to the highest quality it was an aesthetic delight to stay in. And such a beautiful period building. It was extremely hot when we stayed but the hotel found us a wonderful dyson fan that made it possible to relax: lovely. The bed was a mile wide, the shower generous with good water pressure and four - yes FOUR - different shower heads. The service was outstanding. Really 12 our of 10. I would heartily recommend the hotel.
Such a beautiful Yorkshire Dales farm and so quiet and relaxing. We were there for two days and had a lovely time. Played golf at Richmond, went to a wedding, had a super value dinner in a local pub, The Shoulder of Mutton, and thoroughly enjoyed our beautifully presented and prepared breakfasts. Freshest eggs in the country. Wonderful fruit. Best rhubarb ever! Pandered in our suite overlooking the flock of sheep with their lambs. Bliss.
The guest room, actually turned out to be two rooms. Very comfortable, and a central location in Richmond (which is not a huge place). Staff were helpful and efficient. We booked a table and were very glad to have done so. Food was delicious and Richmond was busy, despite covid.
Richmond is a very pretty town, with good walking, a fine castle and a small market (at least on Saturdays).
Lovely little hotel/pub, clean rooms, not the most modern but quaint with everything we needed, all the staff where lovely and Tracy in the bar on the eve was very lovely, the locals where friendly too, Breakfast was lovely, didn't feel at all rushed like at other hotels, Hotel is in the perfect location for Richmond and visiting the waterfalls, will defo visit again
Wonderful place for a break. The flat is well equipped, warm and comfy. It also has a nice big TV and fast wifi! We wouldn't hesitate to come here again. It is also right in the middle of Richmond, which is one of the most beautiful small towns in England. And even though it's central we found it to be a really quiet spot.
This is our third stay at Mount Pleasant. We return owing to the high standard accommodation in a beautiful location. The decor and attention to detail in the cottages is incredibly high and the location is superb for exploring Yorkshire and the North East. The setting has superb views and is incredibly peaceful.
A lovely house, attractively furnished and decorated, in a small village just off the A66 near Richmond. The public areas are delightful, as was our room. Very quiet at night. One of the best hotel breakfasts I can remember, with high quality ingredients.
bright clean and airy restaurant with rooms. immaculately clean and fresh. Great location for discovering North Yorkshire. Customer Service very good and professional service from the staff. Dinner and breakfast were delicious!
Location was perfect. Lovely clean comfortable room. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices and well cooked. Hosts welcoming. Would definetly choose to stay here again if in Richmond.
The location in Richmond is perfect, its just an incredible hotel, brilliant staff and excellent food, a true yorkshire gem and for sure we certainly be back.
A little touch of luxury in a picturesque Yorkshire village. The owners have transformed what was once a tiny village farmers’ local into a 5 star hotel.
This Hotel is wonderfully situated close to all central Richmond shops and amenities. Excellent breakfast, comfortable rooms and friendly helpful staff.
