Szeged is a nice choice for the weekend escape. It is lovely and vibrant town with lovely Art Nouveau architecture. There is an excellent Aqua Park which could be very interesting for both young couples or families with kids.

We stayed for 4 nights in this lovely city.
We stayed for 4 nights in this lovely city. It's a small city with so much history and culture. Architecture was a treat for the eyes. We visited in the spring time and missed botanical gardens and awesome looking aqua park, but it was a great stay none the less.
Make sure to visit tourist center. They are super helpful and have guides on almost all languages, with maps, working hours and all kinds of other information one might need.
There are plenty of things to visit and see. We definitely plan on returning.

Szeged is a beautiful city, enjoyable by adults and small children as well. It contains many beautiful buildings, parks and playgrounds. The old city is quite new - built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries after a disastrous flood in 1879. The city is well know aquapark, but there is another beautiful aquapark in a nearby town of Makó.
We enjoyed coffee, ice cream and desserts in several cafés around the old town. .
We considered also making trips to Serbia and Romania, which are very close to Szeged, but we didn´t make it due to lack of time.

Go for the warmth - highest number of sunshine hours in the country - or the thermal baths and swimming pools. Or the vibrant university life with abundant cultural activities. Great river walks and amazing bird life in the surrounding countryside. Very welcoming people in a family friendly town.

Szeged is a very charming city.
Szeged is a very charming city. I enjoy its atmosphere very much. There is a limited amount of activities to be done during the evenings, but I actually went there for work, so I might not be informed enough.
I enjoyed the open air market on Saturdays at Mars Tér; it's a very good place to buy fresh and local products, vegetables and fruits. Otherwise I liked simply strolling around the city.

Wonderful architecture, delicious pastry shops with original local recipes, calm environment, good for families and kids, green with well infrastructure and public transport. Definitely worth visiting!
The location is excellent. The rooms are spacious, very clean, tastefully decorated, ensuring a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. Beds very comfortable, white linen very clean. Very good breakfast , diversified with fresh products and even prepared on the spot on request. Very polite and professional staff. Free and safe parking in the hotel courtyard. I highly recommend this hotel, we will definitely stay here if we have road through Szeged.
Very clean, nicely furnished, spacious rooms with comfortable beds and a small kitchenette perfect for making a coffee or tea and having dinner or breakfast- this if you don’t want to take your breakfast in the small hotel cafe. Parking is available either on street nearby the hotel or at the hotel for a small fee. Perfect place to stay if you go on a fee days city break or just pass through Szeged. Highly recommended
The Mozart Hotel is a very stylish three-star hotel in the very centre of Szeged that provides four-star service at a two-star price. If you are staying in the City of Sunshine and want to immerse yourself in Art Nouveau architecture, with a 10 minute walk to all the restaurants that you could want, you will not do better. The staff speak good English and are very polite and helpful.
I was expecting a bigger hotel, I was a little bit confused when we got there and I saw it only has 2 floors. The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. Room was quite large and beds comfortable and also very clean. Breakfast was above expectations - varied and fresh. The location is perfect, right next to Szeged Dom, very close to the pedestrian shopping area and restaurants.
Everything was few minutes walking distance from the property. It was a very quiet street offering good rest even though it's located in the very center of Szeged. Host was very friendly and has prepared tour guides in our own language before hand. She also took the time to give us quick tips on what to visit, where to find good food and other useful information.
Location of the apartments is great Its a city centre and just around the corner is Tisa river,so nice for wolk.It was easy to find parking space close to apartment, the bad thing is just becouse its a city centre you can park max 4 hours.Hotel is clean and the rooms are exelent, you have everything you need.
Gorgeous old building with thick walls and high ceilings in the very center of Szeged. Multiple dining choices around. Tisza Promenade 2 min. away, monuments, parks and of course gorgeous old buildings all around. Hotel's own parking lot, as well as municipal parking lot in front of the hotel. Pets welcome.
Very nice and centrally located hotel with spacious rooms and an interesting "science" design. 15 minutes walk to the bus and train station, 5 minutes to Szeged Dom and the old part of the city.
The room is equipped with an electric kettle with a set of teas for the good start of staying.
The host was very friendly and explained everything regarding the apartment. It is located on a quiet, very leafy street, 10 min walk to the center of Szeged. The bed was very comfortable for our liking - firm mattress. It was spotlessly clean. Private parking was a plus for us.
Great place, absolutely clean apartment, located in a convenient location for transit travelers through Hungary. We were there three years ago and now the apartment looks absolutely new. Extremely friendly owners who respond to questions instantly.
The room was comfortable, the location of the hotel is perfect for visiting Szeged and look around. It can be reached easily by public transport or car. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
Pleasant staff, nice breakfast, close public parking garage (about 50cents/hour), but there is also private parking for 4e / day in the hotel backyard.
10 minute walk to the city center
The hotel is in a great location, in a quiet street, just a few minutes walk from the city center. It's very modern and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Perfect place!
I liked everything about the place. The location, the cleanliness, the hospitality, and the interior design itself. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to stay at Szeged.
Great hotel with sufficient parking spots, clean and big rooms. Nice staff and easy check in/check out procedure. Would stay here again when in Szeged.
