It was central to many Dolomites attractions.
It was central to many Dolomites attractions. We ate in their restaurant. very convenient. Breakfast included was good. We had a hire car, so easy to drive through the mountains. A cable car ride to top of a mountain was worth doing, with lunch at the top.

The small town with its beautiful old church was delightful.
The small town with its beautiful old church was delightful. The views from everywhere in town and from the Guesthouse was breathtaking. We went to Cortina with the local bus (short trip) and then went up the Faloria cable car for a good walk and tea at the Restaurant from where the view were unforgettable. Then back to Cortina for a walk in the town and a lunch in a pub. Wish we had more time to explore San Vito di Cadore and its surroundings.

The room was extremely clean and comfortable, and there were even extra amenities like a shoe sponge in the bathroom (helpful for post-hikes!) Breakfast was amazing—so many options, and delicious fresh-baked pastries. Dinner is very nice as well and children playroom is also very nice to have if you're travelling with kids. Drive to Cortina takes some 20minutes and they have a ski bus to nearest lifts in San Vito di Cadore.
