How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I recommend thoroughly cleaning the room's furniture and providing more indoor activities available around the clock. Instead of having a pool table in the bar, which is limited by time and may not be suitable for some religious individuals and children, consider relocating it or offering alternative entertainment options.
I like the staff and their hospitality. I would love to come back again.

Availability of tv channels. I assume it was a problem with my room specifically. Not a general issue. Just to mention - though all the staff were friendly and helpful , (only) one stood out by NOT even making eye contact or acknowledging the guests properly.
The room was clean and the extras I requested for , were responded with promptly. My room had a view of the lagoon and it was vey refreshing. Also the basement parking was useful

A bit dirty behind the door and under the bed since the bed move easily when you jump into it. They didnt provide shampoo
The location is in the main road, the value of money is totally worth, a bit dirt is not clean thoroughly, they dont provide shampoo(only shower gel). They couldnt provide extra water and pillow

One aspect of my stay at Citymax Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah that could be improved upon is the timeliness of housekeeping services. On one occasion, I placed an order for dental cleaning equipment and clean towels, but unfortunately, they arrived much later than expected. Despite having to wait for half an hour and making two follow-up calls, the items were still delayed. This experience was a bit inconvenient and could be better managed to enhance guest satisfaction.
First and foremost, the location is superb. Nestled in a serene corner of Ras Al Khaimah, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it offers a tranquil retreat for weary travelers. The quiet ambiance allowed me to unwind and truly relax during my stay. Moreover, what truly stood out to me was the exceptional value for money that this hotel offers. Despite its affordable rates, Citymax Hotel doesn't compromise on quality. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well-appointed, providing everything one needs for a comfortable stay.

The mattress was slightly too bouncy and caused us some minor discomfort in our backs whenever we laid down to rest.
The proximity of the location to various dining establishments and retail outlets was a crucial consideration in our decision-making process, especially given the needs of our young children. My eldest son thoroughly enjoyed his time at the swimming pool during our stay, and I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the attentiveness and professionalism demonstrated by the lifeguard. Overall, our stay was pleasant and satisfactory.

There was no parking to be enough for half of the visitors, the AC is very cold and we couldn't control it, we request mant thing it didn't done without repeating them more one one in deferent ways and there was ni carpet and no prayermat.

room curtain of 807 was very dirty with biggest black mark on inner sheer (wondering from what 🫢). definitely requires a wash ineer and out curtay as well gull of dirt spots however we did not inform any staff as we were checked in at 12 midnight and wanted to sleep.
location is good in the city. hotel is simple and modern design without intrusive colors. did not check out their facilities as we have used as only for sleeping after long drive from dubai.
