Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsBe aware that four stars in this case is not the four stars that you might be used to as these are the four stars awarded by an Albanian authority which seems to have slightly different standards. Two major issues: not sure if it is mentioned in the description, but the pool is actually located across the inner courtyard, so you can't just go there from your room through the building. The leaflet in the room indicates that it's open until 23:00, I went at around 21:00 and the lights were out with the cleaning device sitting in the water. I ended up not using it during my stay, although it was one of the reasons why I chose this hotel. Another issue is the lack of light blocking curtains: if your room faces the street, there's likely going to be a lamp on your balcony that you can't turn off and that shines through the curtain until late at night (3:00-ish). If you are a light-sensitive sleeper, that might be a problem. Minor issues: breakfast didn't quite feel fresh, and you have to ask for coffee to be brought from the bar downstairs. The rooms have no kettle, any coffee or tea, nor do they provide complimentary bottles of water. Smoking is permitted on the terrace, so you might not want to keep your room windows open if they are facing the street side.
The hotel is very centrally located, close to many shops, restaurants an the city centre. The staff were nice and ready to amend mistakes.

CanadaRoom is still a bit hot even with window air-conditioning. Iti s not a "spa"-restaurant. Finishings are a bit old and dated and space is a bit restricted. But honestly, the amazing staff makes up for all of this!
The staff at this hotel is amazing. They really go above and beyond with advice and simpel friendliness. It made any negatives disappear! The location also is perfect, in the middle of trendy but also very walkable Blloku - less than 10 mins to walk to the main square, and across from the former dictator Hoxha's mansion (unfortunately not open to the public, but viewable!).

United KingdomThe spa was not working and this was one of the reasons for booking this hotel. The hotel should make it 100% clear that the Spa (which after all is in the name of the hotel), is not actually functioning
Excellent location in the centre of Blloku, restaurants nearby. Very comfortable bed and good sized double bedroom. Breakfast was excellent. Wide range of cereals, fruit, cheeses, cooked eggs, cakes, croissant etc. Staff very friendly and helpful.

As we stayed in Tirana for a short vacation, the hotel was in a very good location. Prices are very reasonable, lobby, taxi, etc. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and clean, we chose slightly larger rooms, so there was enough space. The bed was super comfortable. It was a nice vacation.

NetherlandsThe facilities where closed due to covid messures so not to blame the hotel. But they could us inform soner.
Been there 6 days during the eufa conference final. And many fellow supporters hired other hotels or appartments. A week before the final many hotels canceled the reservations. NOT this hotel, they kept there promiss and even picked us up at the airport for free. For trips in and around Tirana personal of the hotel gave us excellent advis and directions.

United Kingdomall my concerns from last time have been solved. Everything was now ok. The smell of cigarette smoke has been addressed. The breakfast has also increased with more hot items look forward to spa opening later in the year
The beds are high off the ground and very comfortable. The hotel offers a laundry service (right next door) which is very convenient Very friendly staff. Very convenient location in the heart of Blokku and many shops and restaurants nearby. The mini bar is well stocked It would be good to have a kettle for tea/coffee making, but there is a cafe on the ground floor.

GreecePerfect location in trendy neighborhood. Super friendly staff at the front desk and restaurant. It's a perfectly fine hotel. The furniture may not be to my liking but it's a different country with different tastes and that's fine. Large bathroom. Huge bed. And we had a living room which is great to spread out for Zoom calls etc. Taxi from the airport was no problem- they are controlled, there is a taxi line and a set fee to downtown Tirana (20euro) No rip offs here. The hotel can arrange a pickup but we didn't take advantage of that.
