Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandThe kitchen was closed on most of the days and in fact there aren’t many options to eat nearby. The restaurant across the street closes at 17:00 and the other places are two bus stops away. It can be a lovely walk unless the weather is bad or you’re very hungry.
The staff are a real highlight. Both the owner and the receptionist are really making an effort to make everyone have a good time and meet all their needs. The receptionist went out of his way to make everyone feel welcome, he had a great contact with all the guests and could make everyone laugh.

SlovakiaIt would be great to refresh some old equipment and make few renovations in the hotel. They are working on it, as can be seen in some areas. Price was very fair, taking these conditions into account.
The staff was very nice and helpful. These people are doing great job. They paid attention even to small details, always willing to help. Food and service in restaurant was also very good.

PortugalI wouldn't say is a big thing, but small renovations in the room would make a big difference. I would also cover the machines showing when you go to the ski storage or the sauna. Breakfast was a bit modest.
I went to Stubai for ski. so close enough. Price was good.

Czech RepublicThe room was very cold especially in the night when we need to put lot of clothes on. There is no heating in the room that you can adjust. After we asked the staff it got a little bit better in the evening after they turned on some central heating, but in the night it was still very cold. You dont expect unheated room for 200 EUR per night :( Also i really did not understand the communication on checkout with payment of some local charge. It was clearly stated in description that the hotel accepts credit cards and they had also terminal. They told me only cash is accepted and card payment is not possible, it was quite rude to ask me many times that I need to pay in cash. Of course finally card payment worked without any problem...
Location was superb with wonderful view from the room on the mountains and very nice surroundings. It is also very short distance from the Glacier.

NetherlandsThe furniture and facilities are a bit outdated, but that didn't spoil our stay.
Very nice staff and excellent cooking by the chef/owner, Peter. We also joined a very nice grill evening with authentic Tirol live music. Location is very good for hiking, centrally in Stubaital. And as a bonus we received a StubaiTal guestcard for free which gave us free access to all cablecars on the day of arrival and the departure day (and in between). All-in-all a nice stay and very good value for money.

United StatesThe location of this hotel was very nice in the forest near a glacier. The proprietor helped us get free tickets to the glacier cable bahn. And we had a wonderful time experiencing the glacier. It reminded us of being in Glacier Natl Park.

ItalyThere was no heating in the room (in January with the snow, the room and the bathroom were FREEZING), no hairdryer. The bathroom was pretty old and the bath stained. Breakfast very poor (at 9am almost everything was already finished and when we asked if we could have some cheese the answer from the lady was "sorry, not today, but tomorrow!"). They did not have the Stubai Winter Card.
Nice location in the middle of the mountains, pretty close to the Glacier.

CanadaThat I had to leave! I wish I could have stayed longer!
I've stayed in a lot of hotels during my trip to Austria, and I can honestly say Waldcafé is my absolute favorite! The location is perfect, near the end of Stubai Valley, close to the waterfalls and hiking trails of all kinds. It's incredibly beautiful, serene, and peaceful, especially with the sound of the river right next to it and views of the mountains. Waldcafé is only 10 minutes away from Stubaital and they give you a complimentary Stubai Super Card for free busses. The hotel is very well run and the rooms are clean with very comfy beds. I think anyone would feel at home and comfortable there. What makes Waldcafé so amazing is Peter, his family, and staff! They go out of their way to make your stay special and are so nice and friendly. The food is really outstanding! Peter is a great chef and uses only the finest, freshest, local meats, fish, produce, and cheeses he can source and creates beautiful dishes that will satisfy anyone's taste buds. This place is truly unique, and I highly recommend Waldcafé for anyone looking to get away from their busy lives and connect with nature, eat good food, and meat lovely people.
