Great location opposite Franklin Wharf with friendly helpful staff, especially their assistance with extending our offsite parking enabling us to attend a business meeting was greatly appreciated. Our 2nd floor corner room with views of the harbour and parliament house although somewhat small, was quiet and comfortable with access to a lift for people not wanting to use the narrow stairs. The restaurant has a nice relaxing atmosphere with internal and external dining options and harbour views, as well as an extensive menu, wine list and bar options. Unfortunately, the seafood chowder was somewhat disappointing from what I expected it to be, nevertheless my wife enjoyed her meal. Our breakfast left nothing to be desired except perhaps the option of breakfast cereal included on the menu.

Not a great hotel if you have mobility issues. There is a lift, but hallways and our room had stairs so it would be best to check with reception when you book to ensure you can get to your room easily. The upside was we could use the stairs and avoided waiting for the lift.

Fantastic location, we could walk everywhere on the waterfront and handy offsite parking. Great view of the harbour and loved the flexibility of being able to order breakfast off the menu. It was over a pub, but noise wasn't an issue in our superior king room.

it was a little a bit of rabbit warren to get to our room but i wouldn't stay we didn't like it, we actually laughed each time we went back to our room. :)

We stayed there for our anniversary. the location was absolutely perfect, the breakfasts were great and we really enjoyed the whole experience. The room was also perfect for us so spacious and comfortable would definitely stay there again.

Absolute gorgeous place The food was outstanding. The rooms were beautiful and warm. The only thing about our room was our pillows. Sounds petty, but you do need good pillows. Just too soft. Other than that, fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.

The standard queen was very dark room, not much natural light. The doors in bathroom need attention. The rooms were quiet dusty and their was a long black hair on our hairdryer upon arrival. Toilet paper was terrible, the paper in the bar was nicer than the rooms which we mentioned to staff.

The breakfast inclusion was good and nice variety. Nice to have the bar downstairs and live music was a bonus on Saturday night. Close to Salamanca. Beds were super comfy.

We had a Room above bar. Thursday night they got hit with lots lots people who came from a function across the road. Their last guest left at 2 am. Hence no sleep that night for us.

Wow...location! our water front room was fabulous! Our king size bed was so comfortable. A short walk across the park to Salamanca markets, across the road to Brooke St Pier, where a lot of tours depart from, and to lots of cafes, restaurants and bars. A short walk to the business district too. Handy Bar right downstairs, and restaurant which also serves the included breakfast with lovely service and a delicious breakfast. We stayed for a few days at the beginning of our trip and at the end. It is a historic building and while it does have a lift to the 2nd floor but there are still steps and stairs in various places.

Nothing it was excellent.

The breakfast was excellent and the rooms lovely with plenty of space. We had a long weekend in Hobart and we were very fortunate to have room with a view to the wharfs. We did not need a vehicle as we were no more than 200 metres from all the activities we had planned, Salamanca Markets, Ferry to MONA, cafes and restaurants, coach stop for Mt Wellington. This hotel will be my first choice if I come to Hobart again.

We upgraded so our room wasn’t above the bar due to possible noise. First night was great, however we could hear people partying until 3am on the second night. Not much sleep was had. The staff were fantastic though & put us in a different (and bigger) room.

Fantastic location, very friendly staff, included breakfast was amazing, and rooms were clean.
