A bit of improvement on the curtains so as to keep all outside light out. Also, some more light over the desk.

The location is excellent, right at the top end of town. The room is better than described - it's fit for a king!

The hotel catered for everything including ear plugs, as it is not the quietest of locations.

A very cool place to stay with heaps of character!

Little changes, like the complimentary breakfast no longer offered. Gave you a chance to meet the other guests. The $100 .00 hold on your card when checking in, for the minibar etc. That was unexpected and we were caught a little off guard.

Not our first stay.Have always loved the rooms decor and location. We are train buffs, so very much aware of the train station across the road. Far enough away from the main road to feel a little more private, yes, despite the trains,🤣but close to everything needed for a lovely stay.

without the air-con it would have been musty and I would have liked an upstairs room but I didn't make that request, next time!

4 poster bed & a spa... what an awesome place to stay.

The extremely soft bed. Shower/bath in room, not separate. Very dusty behind bed-head. Location in semi-industrial area on outskirts of town.

TV was quite old and not many of the channels worked, and we also couldn't connect our Chromecast to it. Wish they had different pillows as the ones we had in our room were a bit too soft. It can get quite loud as the hotel is located near train tracks.

Beautiful heritage listed hotel with period rooms. The bed was quite comfortable and spacious, and the spa bath was a nice touch. Reception was friendly and the check-in and check-out process were very easy. Property is directly across the road from an awesome pub with bullriding!

Bit of an industrial feel to the area with the occasional freight train passing down the main road but really did not worry us. More of an interesting experience. With the heavy drapes in the room, might be an issue for asthmatics.

Old railway administration building converted to boutique hotel. Good size room-very high ceilings -period furniture gave a luxury feel to the rooms-great spa bath to relax in after a day's touring. Good outdoor BBQ area for a quiet drink with friends. Great value continental breakfast. Easy access to Great Western hotel for meals and take-away cafe opposite.Good parking. Friendly and helpful staff.

There is a main railway line nearby, which is noisy when the occasional train comes through. There were no trains at night so sleep wasn't disturbed.

The room was clean, and tidy. We enjoyed the aesthetic and were surprised at the quality of furnishings for the price.

    Traffic noise.

We had an amazing room with a four poster bed and high ceilings. Immaculately clean and well appointed. The bed was huge and very comfortable with great pillows. The location is a bit out of the centre but walking distance to the river. The best surprise was that it’s across the road from The Great Western hotel where we were treated to a night of line dancing, meeting locals and great meals/drinks. The hotel even has a bull riding ring. Very entertaining and unexpected. The Denison was great value for money if a bit noisy with passing traffic. Would stay again.

Didn't like the fact there were snacks on the table you had to pay for and drinks in the fridge you had to pay for I think if you are going to stock up on food and drinks like that it should be complimentary. Also I did bring some of my own food and really needed a microwave to heat up a few things.

All the Antique furniture and the way it was laid out. And loved the chandelier lights.
