How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

All was good.
The unit was large and well appointed. Bed was large (King size) and quite comfortable. Tower Block 2 was very quiet. These units are very well located to public transport as well amazing restaurants and shopping malls.

Shower was a bit temperamental going from hot to cold to hot and dishwasher wasn’t working but Hotel advised and they booked it in to get fixed as we weren’t worried about not having dishwasher
A very roomy apartment with everything we needed for our visit to Sydney. We chose Bondi Junction to be close to family and transport links and were not disappointed…the apartment was right above the Train and Bus station which made travelling around Sydney so easy…didn’t even have to go outside. The apartment was very quiet and very comfortable and we would definitely stay again

The factor of a being greeted with a leaking dishwasher and tape to cover some cracks in the walls around the glass window were disappointing

The beds! Best in the world! The staff were all incredibly helpful and polite- I’ve stayed here a few times and I’m not sure if there has been an “upgrade” with your training but I noticed a visible difference with everyone I dealt with- including the cleaning staff who I bumped into on my floor one afternoon- everyone was polite and responsive-thank you again.

We had family from Greece stay at the property. They loved it!! The location was great! Close to transport and stores. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Very comfort room. Large 1 bedroom with everything you need.

Door batteries had died and needed replacing. Normally not an issue but I had to walk back to tower 1 from tower 2 with luggage as tower 2 had no reception staff, even though there is a reception area. It would have been nice to have a phone at reception tower 2 to call back to reception tower 1 so they could come across with the new batteries. TV remotes very difficult work. Pressing button with nothing happening. Had to hold remote at a specific angle to work. Battery in smoke alarm also started beeping every 15mins during the night.

Coffee machine, large dirty fan pan, no room directory and the dry cleaning service was appalling (clothes returned covered in glitter and stains not removed) took forever to work out the TV but no luck with coffee machine

The early check out as you should have have at minimum of 24 hours. Disapointed at the way we were approached to leave the premise as there was no indication of 10am leave time on the information provided.

Unfortunately wasn’t clean properly in main bathroom chewing gum on wall and dirt near bath In my bathroom there was some kind of red lollie so had ants everywhere

We had a special needs room ( which is fine even though we didn’t need Special needs) and had only 2 towels. The water went every where in bathroom and was slippery- we had to use our towels to mop up. Extra towels would have been useful.

was jealous our work family who stayed also had a bath and we didn't haha. The shower wasn't too bad but the hot water came on and off a bit
location was great walk to everywhere and caught the train which was just below. Was not disappointed. Nice and quiet and not busy in the street. The bed was very good and having the room separate from the lounge was a bonus

Under the beds hadn't been vacuumed when I was checking if anything had fallen under there whilst packing and there were no tea towels to wipe anything spilt in the kitchen
The beds and rooms were extremely comfortable and reception staff were very helpful.
