steps and lack of warning

beach, bed, location EXCEPT no warning on the number of steps from car park - I have had an operation and would not have booked this room if I had known. There were no staff to take bags up/down- very inconvenient - should have been warned!!

The apartment is clean but very much in need of renovation. in the kitchen and bathroom. however the price reflected this.

Unfortunately it wasn’t quite as peaceful as previously due to works being carried out on one of the apartments a few metres away which started very early and were quite noisy, especially when trying to relax around the pool. It would have been nice to know this in advance if it was going to be the case. The venue next door also had a very loud party on one night as well so whilst not the accommodation’s fault, the combination of the two didn’t make it as peaceful a stay as previous times.

Barbora at reception was absolutely fantastic and extremely helpful with booking tours, transport and recommendations etc. The location is perfect literally overlooking four mile beach. The rooms are very well maintained, spacious and clean.

The room was a little 'tired' and the bathroom very narrow. Cobwebs on the bedroom window ledge. The lounge area window shutters had to be repaired by maintenance, as they fell off the track after being opened. No air-con in lounge area, only fans. The oven and cook-top had unreadable dials. Only one couch, no arm-chair.

Brilliant location, right opposite the beach. We stayed in a ground floor apartment for three weeks at BeachfrontTerraces, which are older apartments. The pool was large and very clean. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Communication was excellent

No service. Property used COVID as an excuse not to clean. Only got clean towels twice in 10 days. Room not cleaned in 10 days.

The location. Across road from beach, close to town. The rooms were old, but okay. Michelle at reception was very helpful booking tours and giving advice on what to do in Port Douglas. Surf life saving club across the road.

Position close to beach and Macrossan Street. Comfortable with all that is required in a 2 bedroom apartment. Fantastic pool and spa protected from the wind.

Bit tricky to find as the name on the sign at the property does not match what it is called in booking.com and google maps. Also no reception of its’ own, combined with next door property of different name. Bathroom is tiny, very tight to navigate, even as a petite female. Bedroom was pretty small and bed & pillows were not overly comfortable. couch was tiny and uncomfortable. I Expect that in a hotel but a self contained unit you expect to feel like a home away from home. Parking space was quite narrow/bit tricky to get in and out. Pool was quite average, spa was useless - colder than the pool and a few heya that squirted upright .. Bathroom was not super clean - dusty and spider webs in window, door to shower bit broken and hard to close, no lock on door. A camper parked out the front and blocked our sea views for a whole day/night of the 3 we were there. No fault of the hotel but something to be mindful of which room you get of ground floor and laying extra for the view. Cleaners woke us up at 7am with a loud bang as they tried to enter the property before we had vacated when we had already confirmed we would checkout around 10am.

Sadly a complete lack of empathy or flexibility for assisting with flexibility of amending the booking to another date due to a family member being taken ill. Extremely disappointing after so many stays at this property over the years. Poor security (ie locks) on the doors and windows of Beachfront Terrace apartments needs attention in this day and age - the current “snib” models don’t exactly shout confidence or safety.

Place is a little old , we could hear people above us . water leak either from under washing machine , but think it was from the shower and coming out from under the washing machine as did niot use the machine daily . noticed towards end of our stay and mopped it up initially but then appeared again next day . TV reception was playing up no channnels first night , spoke to reception next morning and someone fixed problem that day.

location close to beach , main eateries , shops etc was reason we chose and liked everything in walking distance. Ice cream shop had best flavours and taste visited on our way back from dinner most nights.
