Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe weather, it rained on and off the whole time but the rain added to the rainforest atmosphere.
The wood fire stove was just perfect given the miserable weather.

AustraliaLoved how remote it felt. Just driving down the road you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. Good selection of books and DVDs. The animals around the place and the short walk down to the river. All very peaceful.

AustraliaA king bed and AC in the bedroom would be my only suggestions
I loved Birdsong. What a special little place to stay in a beautiful valley. It was so peaceful and the little house was so thoughtful. It was beautifully built with so many lovely touches. We loved the giant swing seat out the front and all the games and DVDs provided. It had a really interesting and rustic design and it's a perfect spot to disconnect. I enjoyed driving to Dorrigo national park and the rainforest walks there are great, that's very close. Bellingen town is only 15-20 minutes walk and it's a great little town.

Away from any hustle and bustle, just listening to the sounds of wildlife. Being greeted by the farm animals, special mention to Mr Banks the farm dog. Rustic style cottage

AustraliaA lovely, very spacious, self contained dwelling. I loved the variety of seating spots to laze around; two day beds, big couches, two outdoor seating areas; indoor and outdoor fireplaces. The 4-poster bed was warm and intimate. Onsite, the river was in good flow and looking very clear and inviting, although a bit too crisp for comfortable submergence at this time of year. Conveniently located about 20 mins drive from both rural Dorrigo and hippy Bellingen along the picturesque Waterfall way.

AustraliaThe surroundings are beautiful, with easy access to Bellingen and the surrounding region. The cabin was warm, inviting and I felt at home right away. Mindy and Stuart were welcoming, and you felt at easy right away. Being able to explore the property and having the Bellinger river right at your fingertips was fantastic.

AustraliaThe Dairy is unique, well equipped with a cosy and relaxed ambience. It is quiet, surrounded by gardens, rainforest trees and friendly cattle and goats in the paddock next door. The owners dogs like to visit - both friendly. Beautiful walks at Dorrigo and shopping or cafes in Bellingen. We loved the swing daybed on the deck!

AustraliaI think it mentioned other breakfast items supplied (which I had forgotten about anyway) but they weren't there, probably because this was Christmas Day, so had caretaker managing property briefly. Didn't spoil anything though. Very happy with the property.
Cleanliness. Bed, so comfortable, one of the best. The gardens and decks. The location is stunning!! Good shower/bath. Nice linens. Eggs in fridge and bread for breakfast with tea and coffee. Lovely homely touches and big comfy couches. Proximity to Dorrigo N.P. and Waterfall Way. Definitely planning to return for longer next time.

AustraliaThe floor level change near the bedroom door was a hazard
How chooks and the dogs could roam freely around the farm, that you could walk up and feed the goats, walk across the road and walk to the creek and swim in the warmer months, the dairy was cosy ...

AustraliaThe lighting in the bathroom is very poor and potentially dangerous with a small step into the bathroom. Some of the furnishings are a little tired. Cottage is probably more suited to younger couples.
A quaint farm cottage in a beautiful location.. Lots of seating options, inside and out. Big, comfy bed. Due to family issues we could only stay one of the three nights booked. So we didn't get to fully experience all the property had to offer. Hosts were easy to contact.
