Positive section of review
Very well designed hostel. I stayed in the 4 bed dorms and in a private. Both were really good. There is a large communal area that is open 24/7 and staff were so friendly and accommodating. I did meet some amazing people at the hostel but it was by chance and timing. I think organising more activities would greatly benefit the place due to it's size.

The only thing I think needs changing is just the after-hours check-in. I got off a very late flight (12.30am) and hadn't received the check-in instructions. I didn't know this but it was because there were still staff on-site until after 2am when I arrived. Without an activated sim or data, it was a bit stressful not knowing if I would be able to enter the hostel or not.

The house is gorgeous, the rooms and bathroom are comfortable, spacious and perfectly clean. The shared areas and garden are perfect to make you feel at home there. The area was really quiet so we got a good night of sleep. The host provided amenities that really increase the pleasure of our stay.

As it's a guest house and not a hotel, the timing to drop luggage before check-in or after check-out is limited.

This was an extremely clean and comfortable place to stay for me and my mom. Melody treated us very well and ensured our whole journey in Kaohsuing was well-informed and cared for. Homestay was also close to many restaurants.

Wasn't much to eat for breakfast, but that's okay - plenty of great options a walk or an Uber away.

I have been here few times. The room was clean and good price. But the noise was nonstop because of the water running and flushing sound around the rooms.

Unique, soundproof rooms with air conditioning. Quite close to the Main Street and David the host was extremely helpful and polite.

It's actually a hot spring hotel, but the hot tubs are decomissioned. So there is not chance to bathe, except for in the room, where the bathtub exceeds the water heater's capacity. The appeal is that it is a design or boutique hotel with an eccentric interior design. Also no breakfast is served. So the price for just a room is a little steep.
