The hotel is very well situated in the city center but accessible by car. The hotel itself is very clean and confortable, and the staff very sympathic. Great stay.

New was automatic check-in. You get a text msg with your key code ahead of time and you don't need to speak to a sole. It's practical, but impersonal. Bathroom is tiny.

- Auto check-in is a nice touch however reception not at ground level is a bit off-putting. First impression can feel unfriendly. E.g. Renting a studio/apartment where owners cannot be bothered to show up and just leave their house keys in a key locker for you. - I arrived at the hotel in the evening (dark). Certain section of the streets from train station to the hotel can feel very dark - direction with google maps. Not many street lights. This is specially true if it is your first time to Bayreauth.

The hotel message about the car parking wasn't precise: at the weekends, the "30-minute" car park in front of the hotel is not restricted to 30 min, so it was stuffed with cars staying a long time. The town center has one-way streets, which are not well updated on Google Maps, so the access from the hotel to the recommended P7 Badstrasse parking was an additional 30 min drive in the labyrinth. Better to go straight to P7 from the motorway rather than trying to park by the hotel.

Great location in the very heart of the city. Possible to order breakfast. The rugs in the rooms seemed not very clean but apart from that everything was alright. Great option with the self check-in, really helpful if arriving late.

No place to stow suitcases or even a place to be able to unpack them and meager amount of hangers to hang clothes. I did NOT like having to sit on a bizarrely-designed cylinder-shaped "chair" with no back support. Surely you could place a REAL chair or two in the rooms. And what's up with one very small paper cup in the bathroom? A real glass tumbler (or two) would have been infinitely better than this! A small coffee maker with the means of brewing a cup of complimentary coffee or tea would have been very welcome. Very few room amenities! One last thing: the arrangement of the breakfast food was very awkward (although the dining room was spacious), with no space to put the smallish tray down when adding meat cuts, etc. I noticed that everyone had to place their rolls on the tray itself (and who can guess just how sanitary that is?) because there was no room to place two of the plates on the same tray.

Location was excellent, being a short walk to both the Wagner and Liszt Museums. Loved the hot shower with excellent shampoo/body wash and the quietness of the room. Breakfast was good, too. The various rolls were fresh and delicious! The bed was comfortable. The TV was well placed and very easy to operate, although some streaming services would have been nice: Netflix, anyone?

We have no complaints. We would stay at this hotel again.

The room was clean and comfortable. There was air conditioning which was very important in the high August temperatures. The hotel is in the city center close to the magnificent opera house and the main attractions.

I was sent a check in code but didn't realise I didn't need to use the machine outside. We wasted quite a bit of time before we realised the main door was open and there was a traditional reception desk upstairs

No curtains in a room with an aspect of the courtyard and with a direct view to opposite hotel rooms so we had to keep the outer blinds constantly shut and were living in a dark room. Not unfriendly but indifferent staff, did not feel very welcome.
