Beds need new matresses (it was fine for a night), not a big fan of rooms with carpets

I had a room that only had a skylight for a window. The smoking terrace was above my room, so it often smelled of smoke and it was sometimes loud late at night. Do not accept room 206. If there was staff at the hotel I would have asked to change rooms.

The location is fantastic. The room is very clean.

Very noisy due to construction project next door.

Whilst the hotel is centrally located and close to very cheap parking, it is beside a significant construction project which looks like it will take a LONG time to complete (see photo taken from our hotel room). Check in was easy and self explanatory. No refrigerator in the room BUT I found a very helpful staff member who allowed me to use the staff's refrigerator to store some medicine that needed refrigeration.

In the room descriptoon, there was information about a possibility to cook hot water, so i expected to have an electrical kettle in my room and brought a few tea bags with me. There was no kettle. I wrote staff a message and referred to thecroom description. Unfortunately they didn't provide a kettle even when i came to stay again two weeks later

Our room was a little strange, there wasn't a window just a skylight type window. Self check in once you had worked it out worked ok. Also not totally clear where to leave luggage if you arrived early, however spoke with someone who showed us the lift to first floor where it could be left, there was other luggage here but note this isn't a secure area.

The location was great, there was safe covered parking for €10 a day/overnight close by, rooms were very clean and of a reasonable size. Bathroom and facilities functioned fine.

It used to be a very welcoming hotel (I had been there several times in the last ten years or so). Now there is no personnel for check-in or check-out; you only interact with automatic devices. It used to offer fantastic breakfasts. Now there is really no one around, and there are no vending machines. To get your breakfast, you have to exit and look for a bar or a bakery.

The position is perfect: close to the train station and to the center. Rooms are comfortable.

In the description, it was promised that there would be a teamaker or coffeemaker in the room. I was expectinf a kettle. There was nothing like that available

Due to being on a busy shopping street and near to restaurants/bars, it is really noisy at night. Parking is nearby, but off-site and for a fee. Expected given the location, but a bit annoying. The pictures don't quite match the reality of the rooms, which need an update.

The location and self-check in are the primary reasons we chose this accommodation, both of which are great. Though a bit outdated, the rooms are quite clean.

It was strange to have no human welcomming you.

The location was close to the old center of Passau. We where in walking distance to all main attractions/sides. There was also a good choise of restaurants in walking distance.

I did not like self service check in and out. Have never been before in such a hotel. It seems a little bit spooky when there is no any staff. But for people who like self service check in and out I have to say that it function very well, easy and quick. The bathroom was not very clean, it smells from the sink. The toillet had dirty, yellow marks from previous usage. The location is in the city centre near restaurants and bars which is great, except at the night when is too loud. Many people are passing by screaming and shouting so you hear it very loud even when the window is closed. Early in the morning you can hear the maintance service truck so I did not get much sleep. There are few parking garages over there. We could not parked in the garage where Hotel recommended because it was closed by the time we arrived. So we parked a little bit far away and the parking was 16 euros per day. If you do not expect much, and you do not have high standards on cleanliness and you are familiar with self service check in and out, then this is OK place for you.

Excellent location. Close to the train station, shopping and restaurants right down stairs. Self checking is simple and easy. We forgot our code and a quick phonecall and it was quickly resolved.

For the price I was happy with the room.

My son and I walked from Passau railway station to Hotel Herdegen which was a very straightforward walk. We had received excellent check-in instructions so checking-in was not an issue for us. The location is very good as a base to explore Passau and located near to the railway station. The room itself was fine for us - we were only here for 1 night. It was comfortable enough and the bed linen, towels, etc were clean. The checkout was 11:00 which was great for us. That was a plus!

I am not a fan of self check-in. The lack of reception gives the hotel a cold and impersonal feel.

I liked the location, the cleaning staff (Anna and Maria) were very helpful, the hotel accommodated my bicycle, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable
