How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Missing kettle.
Nice,modern hotel, with green atrium,crazy art,coffee bar, spacy breakfast room. 3 temporary parking spaces for checkin,then underground garage,perfect.10min by foot to the city.

We arrived early but was still able to check in with no problem. Our reservation was ready and waiting and check in was quick and smooth. We sent a message requesting reserved parking on the same day as arrival and the hotel confirmed within 30 minutes. Our breakfast was good with good variety. The location is good whether you are going into downtown or other sightseeing. We were very pleased.

The room does not have Boiling Kettle & the fridge plug is removed. The Reception should ask whether we need Boiling Kettle during check-in. The fridge should be plugged in before tenants check-in & Reception could ask whether guest require it during check-in too.
Large comfortable room & walking distance to the Old Town.

The internet connection was intermittent and slow (as in many German hotels). Other than that everything was fine.
The rooms are beautiful. The bathroom was spacious and well equipped. Soundproofing is excellent. Breakfast alone was worth the stay, it was one of the best I had in a long time.

Late night taxi gaujers - the rate nearly doubled from our 1st night out. Not Hotels fault.
The room was great, fresh comfortable beds, location great - we could walk, Breakfast REALLY good!

A shame that there was no possibility make make a coffee or tea on the room, especially since the reception and bar is closed after 21:30 hours
Modern and light and quiet room with a view over the very nice garden and a private parking garage equiped with Charging stations for EV cars

A modern hotel featuring rooms with windows overlooking a beautiful green garden and playful elements in its interior design. The friendly staff graciously accommodated us and our dog, even though we mistakenly forgot to inform them in advance. (Be sure to inform the hotel staff if you are coming with a dog.) Fantastic location with a delightful promenade leading to the city center, offering a peaceful night's sleep without any sounds of cars. And last but not least, the breakfast was exceptional.

We really enjoyed our stay - the hotel has a very relaxing atmosphere, including the very green enclosed garden. The room was in the older building, with exposed wooden beams and cozy furniture, which we also liked a lot.

Perhaps having the AC would have been a plus, but only because Regensburg faced an unprecedented heatwave during my staying. I suppose it is usually not necessary and opening the window can be enough to have a fresh sleep.
The overall design of the facility is sleek. Having breakfast outside in the garden is definitely a plus to start a long working day the right way. I had a delay with my trip that affected my arrival time, but the staff promptly organized a late self check-in and shared very easy instructions. I have emailed them just 15min before the closing time, but they still managed to reply and set up everything. Great customer care! I will definitely book it again when in Regensburg.

Nice location close to the historical center, but on quiet side of the river. Just 10 minutes walk to old bridge. Parking possible in the hotel garage or free parking on the streets around. Boutique style hotel with spacy rooms, good breakfast and nice lobby bar and inner garden. Easy to find, easy to stay, easy to enjoy.
