How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Could not stay longer as we a had a tight agenda
We had a stopover at Walhallahotel going from Luxembourg to Budapest with my wife. We choose the hotel because of the promising reviews and the convenient location. The experience was above our expectations: the communication was smooth, upon our arrival the staff was professional and super helpful, and the room and the hotel were designed with good taste and with high-quality materials. The bed was comfortable and the room`s cleanliness was impeccable. The breakfast had a wide variety of delicious and fresh options with great presentation and with very good food quality. Despite being a heavy light sleeper, I had a peaceful and quality sleep, so we decided to stay here again on our trip back home, to Luxembourg. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Will definitely be returning on our next visit, to discover more the Regensburg area!

The hotel accommodated us even though we booked at almost 11pm for the same night. We were upgraded to a cabin a few minutes away from the hotel. Breakfast was incredible, with so many delicious options. The owners and staff were super friendly. Check out until 11am. Quiet neighborhood. Free parking. Easy drive into Regensburg (5-10 minutes). Cute dog who lives at reception. Indoor/outdoor seating. Would happily stay here again.

New, modern, clean, and they thought of a traveler’s every need. Very smart details in the room, as well as at the overall hotel. Excellent breakfast with artisan cheeses, fresh omelette service, and an overall gourmet selection of unexpected things. I especially loved their Coffee Drink Maker, which was accessible all day and prepared very good Cappuccino’s, Latte Macchiatos, Espressos. and so on.

The information on Booking.com was misleading: 1. When we arrived the hotel desk manager asked for € 10 for the use of the kitchen facilities in the room; these were locked. However, on booking.com website no additional charge was mentioned for the use of the kitchen facilities. After some discussions we the hotel desk manager agreed to open the kitchen facilities for us. 2. The address on the booking. com website was Regensburg. The confirmation we received from Booking.com was also an address in Regensburg: Gewerbegebiet (= Industrial Estate) Nord 6, Regensburg. However, the hotel is located Gewerbegebiet Nord 6, Tegernheim, a city in the neighborhood of Regensburg. It took quite some time before we realized we should not be in Regensburg for this address but in Tegernheim. The misleading information on booking.com was really a disappointment.

There was nobody at the reception when we arrived at the property, we checked in at a machine and while the booking said our stay includes breakfast, on the machine we were suggested it is without breakfast and we had the option to add and pay for breakfast which we did, ending up to pay twice for breakfast in a one night stay. In the morning we requested a refund but were blaintly told it can’t be done. We accepted that but we requested at least some complimentary drinks or food on the go but as well were refused, with no refund being made as well. Therefore, customer service is completely lacking. Also, the breakfast was varied but very small, on small plates a few slices of ham and few of cheese etc, even the juice finished and was only replaced when verbally requested. I would not recommend the stay but if you do decide to stay it will be on your on risk as if any problem will occur, they reception staff will not be bothered to help in any way. We will not come back and will never recommend the place to any of our friends and family.
