Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe rip off price of the breakfast. They charged 39 Euros for our two breakfasts. The breakfast was very basic and 5 Euros each would have been a more realistic price.
We liked the hotel's garden area and the complimentary coffee in the lobby. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was only a short walk to the railway station and the city centre.

LuxembourgI received too many notifications about my stay and many of them were a double one. I received notifications on my WhatsApp, on my private email and on my booking account. Just one would have been enough. Was a bit annoying.
Good location, short walk to the center. Nice room comfortable, tasty breakfast. I staid 2 nights and they proposed me a 10EUR voucher to use at the bar or for breakfast instead of cleaning the room during my stay. I found this initiative GENIAL!! It was a WIN-WIN deal. For me was not important to get the room resettled, they saved time of cleaning and on the same time I got something back. Bravo for this idea. The self-service bar where to have a drink and the terrace where to relax.

United StatesThe hotels personality seems to be based on the bed decor? Invest in daily cleaning or more affordable breakfast instead. Comfortable room but I had to upgrade - double rooms are TINY. And my friends paid a much higher price for a smaller room by booking directly. Hotel had a youth hostel vibe - get your own toilet paper and voucher cards for no daily cleaning

FranceThe price, I'd say, is a bit too high... and also the profile of the clientele, business groups. I have the impression that during the week it's a hotel that's very popular with professionals, so it doesn't have the atmosphere of a small family on holiday, for example...
I didn't try the breakfast because I didn't have time in the morning, but it's possible to get a 10chf discount if you don't want the cleaning lady to come into the room if you consider the room clean, which is a great gesture! The room is very pretty, functional, well laid out, with a view over the courtyard, so it's quiet, I loved this room. Also, the bed and pillows are super comfortable, so despite the stress I managed to sleep well.

Beautiful little boutique hotel with friendly reception staff. Lovely breakfast room and breakfast offerings just right for us. We enjoyed the courtyard but had to share it with smokers.
