When we hired the electric bikes it would have been good to have received a few instructions on how they worked before we left which reception had advised when we booked them , but not available on the day.

Breakfast offered a great selection in a traditional German environment. The room was a good size and had a balcony big enough to sit on and you could see the lake. It had 2 great restaurants and a bar with a great atmosphere. Just out of the town, but great location to get to the ferry to Herren Chiemsee. Parking at the hotel was available and easy which is great after a long journey. The pool and jacuzzi were great facilities to have to relax and unwind.

I found it odd that on a Saturday night with a cut finger the reception couldn’t provide a Band-Aid and said they had no first aid kit. As you know in Germany, everything is closed from sat afternoon to Monday morning so I couldn’t even go somewhere to buy bandaids. I would have even repaid them the Band-Aid when I got some in a shop on Monday, but they said they couldn’t give me one. As we had booked a ten day stay I thought we might have got preference for a lakeside room, but we were not lucky in that respect.

The food was amazing. Perfect meals everytime we ate there The sauna was great too It was a very nice and pleasant hotel, having a balcony is great, the breakfasts was included and very filling. I can recommend the hotel, it also feels very traditionally German which is nice.

The view out of the window of the room. We were only there for one night, though, so this wasn't a huge disadvantage.

Our room was spacious and very clean, but overlooked the road rather than the lake. Breakfast is taken in a large room overlooking the lake, however, which is wonderful. The breakfast buffet was marvellous and the staff very attentive.

A bit worn out........

Fantastic location, on the lake, with its own private marina and 10 drive min from the highway. Rooms are big and clean , nothing to complain. Nice spa with big enough indoor swiming pool. Good breakfast ( and available till 11am, good ideea). Bike rental service available at the hotel.

It got a bit too cold in the room for our liking in the night, but covers were good enough to keep warm.

Spotless room with nice interior. We enjoyed the Bavarian breakfast on site and the stuff were very nice and welcoming. The weather helped to also sit outside and have a coffee in the lake front

Unfortunately we were a few guests in amongst a major conference of almost entirely men so the restaurant was noisy although service to us was fine.

A lot to do about nothing with regards to the fact we were late for dinner. 15 minutes We were on the road and we were unsure at what time we would arrive. In the end we arrived at 19.15 and dinner was at 19 hours. A lot of fuss about the fact that we had to skip 1 cold entrance on the menu. Instead of reassuraring us that what ever time we got in, we would have some food on Christmas day.

Lovely location next to the lake, with the hotel lawns running down to the marina. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good - imaginative menu and great service.

There was no air con so the room was very hot and I didn't sleep well. As it's getting hotter year after year it might be good investing in air conditioning

Would have been nice to have kettle / tea / coffee in room Food in restaurant was fine, but felt expensive and overpriced. As did the bar. Expensive G&T and tonic was out of a big Schwepps bottle... 3 euros for the tonic felt a bit of a p*ss take. Beer priced OK.

Direct access on to lake was amazing. Stunning. Well kept and clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Read reviews before coming and as a result decided to change to a lake view room rather than car park view for extra 30 euros. Worth it. It was modern and clean. It was quite warm, we asked for a fan at reception. No aircon. Breakfast v good
