Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe smaller kids pool was closed one of the days. There is too much water spraying in the slides in the kids pool. Not many smaller kids (under 5) were able to use the slides because it was too intimidating with the spraying of the water.
We really liked the location. Cleanliness of the rooms. The mini club was very good. The people running it are very nice. Good selection of food for breakfast and lunch. The reception are very helpful.

IrelandThe pool is unbelievable cold and kids can’t enjoy it to the fullest and you have a great pool area to shout about. The toilet and shower in bedroom is the strangest design I’ve ever seen and a talking point amongst guys for the wrong reasons.
The modern feel of hotel and the cleanliness I think.

IrelandHave to pay €1 deposit on a plastic cup for a drink.... You get refunded on the return of the plastic cup & the original receipt.
Accommodation is spotless!! Rooms are tight for a family of 4 but it works for the amount of time that you spend in the room. Property is located less than a 10 mins walk from the centre of Salou.

United KingdomWe wasn’t keen on the fact that the shower and toilet were in the bedroom and only covered by frosted glass not the best when you have teenagers
I like the fact that there is security on the front gate making sure everyone that entered was staying at Alannia makes it feel very secure

United KingdomRoom were i would say at least weird. No space at all. And the worst was shower with half transparent door. No privasy at all. We were with kids so we had to put towell on the door so they cant see out private parts. Daughter did want to take shower at all because of lack of privacy.
Nice swiming pool.

IrelandThe only thing I didn’t like about the property was the Buffett did like the food at all. During the day they had food that was nice they should be able to do that dinner time.
I like that the rooms wore clean and had no balcony’s especially when you have young children. I liked the facilities for the kids and entertainment at night which was really good my kids had a great time. You feel safe because there’s a security guard on the gate. My children really enjoyed it

IrelandNot much not to like, but I would say the toilet and shower in room are very open, no privacy. Glass door on toilet, you can hear everything. Same with shower, no privacy apart from intermittent frosted glass. Also no cups, glasses etc in room. Not a real issue, we made it work, but took from a otherwise fantastic stay and resort.
Fantastic resort, excellent facilities, could not be better for children, pool caters for all. Spotless clean, lovely accommodation, cleaned and changed daily. We had a fantastic stay, would highly recommend.

JerseyWould have loved the room to be more sound proof, but the resort goes quite at around 11pm, and so it's not a big problem
Amazing, clean alternative to the massive hotel blocks around. Pool was great, room spacious and buffet choices were nice (including local dishes and changed daily)

United Kingdom- great pools for kids, but the water extremely cold - hardly we managed to find a sunbed - exactly the same food every day 😐 not too many choices either - cleaning means to tidy up the bed and a bit of mopping, no bedsheet change, no towels -parking for £20 a day
Comfortable beds Nice staff Our baby absolutely loved the statues around the resort ( Alan, Ania, Dolsa snake)

IrelandCould do with Better entertainment in evening. More for kids from age 8-12 age group to mix and make friends. Continental breakfast was nice but hot breakfast wasn’t. Meal times were chaotic but not down to the hotel more so to the clientele being generally under the age of 10!! 😂😂. I would definitely stay again but not have the food included. Needed to queue early every morning for sun beds/parasol but was fine once we did.
If you have small kids this is a great hotel! Staff were very friendly and helpful always. The location was closer than expected to lots of shops, little kids amusements, restaurants pubs all only 5 mins walk away. Swimming pool was amazing for kids and they loved it. Rooms were cleaned every day, air con was great. Grounds lovely and clean. Great place for small children (under 8). We had one 4 year old who loved the entertainment. Our 7 and 9 year olds had No interest in evening entertainment which was a pity. But cocktails are fab at the pool bar! No issues with noise. Toilet and shower situation was fine didn’t bother us at all.

PortugalThe schedules were too strict. If you have meals included, then you have a limited timeframe to eat, meaning you have to choose from one of the slots available. Sometimes, you have to queue to wait for your time to eat. So, if you are on holidays, this type of routines are not pleasant. The pool only opens at 10am. Also, the chaise-longues are not well managed. You have guests queueing to reserve a place. Most of the times, they reserve several places, even if they don't use it during the day. If you have the last breakfast slot, forget about getting a place to laydown. Parking is hard in Salou. The hotel parking is very expensive.
It is a good place to go with kids. The pools are good, with tubes and other entertainment. The Rooms have a nice design. The gardens are nice and well taken care. The food facilities were good too.

EstoniaShower in the room. Saw many comments about the shower and yes they are true. The door even though its shadowed still you can see everything. Beside that we had a problem that the water didn't go away fast enough so a little flooding happened. Beside this great place.

United KingdomNo place to dry swimwear and beach towels! nowhere! Vacationers are forced to dry their swimwear and towels by hanging them out of open windows or on the railings of the stairs. It's horrible! Every day until 10.00 lined up at the entrance to the pool to take sunbeds. There are not enough seats at the pool for everyone. When we checked into the hotel, we were given a breakfast time of 07.45-08.30 - this is terrible, because we came to rest, and not get up very early to have time to have breakfast with the child. The reception refused to change the time for breakfast.
