How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Bidet leaks a bit. No waste paper bin in room - only bathroom
Didn’t have breakfast here- plenty of cafes outside had good choices. Exceptionally clean hotel . Basic but comfortable room & it was cleaned every day. Good shower 👍 Just a short walk from Old Town, beaches, bus stops & taxis, lots of bars & restaurants locally. Great location

The beds and the pillows could be more comfortable.
The location is more than great, a few mins walk to both the beach and the old town. It is also very clean.

The bed wasn't the most comfortable and I didn't like parking far from the hotel as it said they had parking. Had to pay 24 euro for the night even though they said we'd get a discount. Unfortunately, there was no one working the control when we left so we had to pay the full price to exit the parking.
The room was big and very clean.

All was great
We did not expect much from a 2 star hotel, therefore we were pleasantly surprised. The room is rather spacious, comfortable bed, very nice bathroom with interesting design, all perfectly clean. Recepton staff was welcoming and kind. Location is good and it is very close to the beach. WiFi was also good. Excellent value for money.

Central location, very quiet place. The stuff was friendly and very professional. The room was clean and the roof terrace is also very comfortable. We had a late night check in, we got in easily and the room was prepared. The beach is very close, walking distance and there are nice cafes around. I can recommend it for business trip and family holiday too.

Reception are available only at certain hours, couldn’t get assistance when aircon malfunction, so had to just put up with it.
Room was fine, spacious, has a lovely balcony n clean. Unfortunately the air conditioner didn’t work that night, lucky it was a cool enough a night by leaving the balcony door open.

Walls are as everywhere in Andalusia – very thin so you can hear other tenants. We were lucky that other people were very disciplined so we didn’t have any problems.
Our stay was initially planned and booked just for one night but we were quite satisfied with both quality of the room and the position of the hostel that we stayed longer. Hostel is very close to both Old city and the beach, however is in very quiet street so there is no noise from outside. We arrived to the city by car and the hotel receptionist recommended nearby parking space for 17€ per day.

The hot water wasn't took ages to warm up for the shower and not much for two people.

No tea/coffee making facilities. Incredibly tiny bath towels. Only hand wash provided in room.

For some reason there was no hot water part of the time, so we had to take a cold shower which was jarring. The reception closes quite early so if you are arriving late make sure to get info from the staff how to get in.
Location was exceptional, located on a very nice little alley near the beach. Our room had a balcony which was very nice. Rooms were quite clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Bathtub in the bathroom was appreciated.
