How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I picked the location and it was further from the main part of town than I thought - but the walk back helped digest the pintxos!
Staff are helpful, the room spacious and comfortable, the double bed was comfortable although it was actually two bases - which surprised my wife when she disappeared into the join, breakfast in the cafe was good.

Additional charge for pool use. Smart TV is not working for youtube.

The property was soulless, very much focused on events and Conferences. The swimming pool was not available, probably due to the time of season. The property also suffered from Poorly designed acoustic insulation, constant noice from the corridors, closing of doors etc.

An expensive parking, about 30 minutes walk from the city center.

Location, up a hill with no bars or restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Fair walk to the old town but good for the funicular.
Easy parking, good bar and snacks, comfortable room.

On Sunday morning we wanted to get a coffee in the bar located in the lobby, but unfortunately it was understaffed and became overwhelmed with clients. After waiting a considerable time we just left without getting a chance to order anything.

Having to pay for parking (when lots of it) extra & @ 19 euros a night thought too expensive! Breakfast, similarly @ 19 Euros per person thought this was too expensive (& not value for money) so went down & found a beautiful bakery in Antigua 1st morning & had coffee/pastry at the cafeteria 2nd morning at a 1/4 of the price!!!
Lovely modern, spacious & light hotel with excellent underground parking. Bedroom/bathroom very good (although scary glass sliding door to bathroom). Also had desk & tea/coffee making facilities in room (almost unheard of in Spain). Reception staff great. Bar/cafeteria staff very friendly & helpful with reasonable prices. Great location near Antigua with 20 min walk to Funicular & 30 min walk along Promenade to town centre. Bus stop outside hotel takes you into old town/city centre & the wonderful choice of tapas bars.....

The temperature in the room was too high during the night. Instead of switching on the aircon, the easy and more sustainable solution was to open the window. But this should in principle not be necessary. Also, cleaning underneath the bed should happen more regularly.
The room was great, the bed very comfortable and the breakfast excellent. Also the being located so close to the beach is a big plus as it is possible to go for walks or a run. The personnel at the reception was very helpful and efficient for the checkout, especially when requesting the bill.

Very happy with the hotel experience. Friendly and helpful staff, great location and amenities, I was very happy and suited my needs on my travels through. Would have no hesitation in staying again when in the area.

You have to walk quite a bit until you arrive in the city center. Also I felt the staff a little hesitant when they saw we are of Romanian nationality. They requested to give them all the details of our credit cards .

parking one night costs 17 euros, a little bit expensive.
The hotel is a beautiful building from outside and decoration inside looks luxurious. Service is good and staff give us a tour map.
