Superb food at both breakfast and dinner especially the desserts, they were amazing. Location to beach was good. A/C worked well. Very clean. Was allowed to use a courtesy room to wash and change before leaving later in the day. staff all pleasant.

Check-In is not the quickest, and a the corridors can be quite noisy at times, but would definitely stay again.

It was near the front and the old town. It had secure parking and we were able to get a space (at a cost) for our car. Friendly, helpful staff, clean and quiet.

Parking a bit hit and miss, outside street parking if available, there was a small private car park.8-10 spaces 8 euro per night, secure in the hotel.

Ideally located one street from the sea. A traditional Spanish hotel, with modern touches. Friendly staff. Pool available. Good evening buffet available, with something for everyone. Exceptionally clean, with spacious rooms. will definitely return, and highly recommend.

Leaving for home

We have stayed previously, it was as good as we remembered. The pool at the back is a gem of an oasis and a nice place to relax. The hotel is family run and as guests you are made to feel a part of the family

Good location within easy walking distance to the main centre and historic part. The first night was somewhat busy due to the Moors and Christians festival but as the hotel was a little outside of the centre we were undisturbed by it all. All in all a really nice place to stay and plenty to see and do for our 2 night stop over on our way to Santander.

Some of the decor was a little warn and dated. Also the en-suite had a shower over the bath which proved tricky to negotiate with my wife being a pensioner and therefore less nimble.

The staff were excellent very friendly and approachable. Breakfast was of a good quality with plenty of choice. Room was a good size with good storage and importantly quiet.

Excellent buffet breakfast. They also offer buffet lunch and supper at really reasonable price. A really lovely, very Spanish hotel. Welcoming and immaculately clean. It had a lovely atmosphere and was just so delightfully Spanish. All the staff were helpful and polite. We loved it. Just near the marismas and so you can hear the frogs on the way back in the evening.

We had a wonderful stay at hotel Jaime I. The room was spacious and clean. Good beds and bathroom. We had a balcony overlooking pool. The breakfast was super good. Fresh orange juice, very good coffee, And an extensive and varied breakfast buffet. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is quietly located. From the hotel you can walk to the beach and to the old town in a few minutes. We only stayed 2 nights as we were passing through, but otherwise we would definitely have stayed longer.

The breakfast had many items of choice, however, hot items were cold. Not an issue, because there was such a variety offered that the guests could find an alternative item. Some beds are harder than others and each guests has there own preference. For me, the beds were very hard and uncomfortable.

The location was great, the staff was outstanding and the overall experience was wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The swimming pool is small and is shaded from the sun most of the day.

The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, there was no noise from the street. There was a good variety of food for breakfast. Staff were friendly. The location is very good.
