Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThere wasn't anything I didn't like. The things I am mentioning are minor but would have made my stay an 11/10. The coffee machine in the cupboard was a little awkward. I had to unplug it and use it on the desk. But the coffee was lovely. The hairdryer wasn't the best. The heat was very harsh. I would bring my own next time. As I have said these were very minor things and the overall experience was excellent. This is a lovely hotel and if I can only fault the coffee machine in the cupboard and the hairdryer, the Hotel Monument is pretty near perfect.
The location is excellent. Incredibly close to the Casa Batllo and La Pedrera, both only a ten minute walk away with lots of great shops and fantastic eateries very close by too. I also think this is one of the prettiest areas of Barcelona to stay in. The bedrooms were very good and the beds were super comfortable and with good quality bedlinen. I slept really well and probably the best I've stayed anywhere. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and lovely staff, especially Bruno. They even made me porridge with soya milk and mixed berries. Wonderful!

Staff are fantastic - even whrn w ehad a cup of tea in the restaurant we were treated really nicely by the gentleman in the restaurant bar area. The foyer team always made us feel they new us and were very attentive. Location of the Monument is unbeatable for a long weekend in Barcelona where one can walk to most of the key sites. Bathrooms were immacultately clean. Bedroom was always well turned out. The breakfasts were perfect and table service was attentive and friendly.

PolandThe only thing that was disturbing us it was the noise from the street in the early morning. After 5 am o'clock garbage trucks were starting to work under the window, weaking up us every morning.
We had a very nice stay at the hotel. Hotel clean, very well located. Staff very helpfull and friendly. Testy breakfast. Again in Barcelona, we will for sure select Monument hotel.

From the time we stepped into the hotel, to checking in, and entering our room, everything was perfection! We thoroughly enjoyed our hotel room and the view from the balcony was amazing! We were guided by concierge (Xavi, apologies if I misspelled his name) on the best way to explore the city! The doormen were very courteous as well. Breakfast was amazing! So fresh, so delicious! Staff were so welcoming and accommodating!

I booked this hotel for my parents who couldn’t speak English or Spanish, and this is their first time traveling by themselves. Monument hotel assigned car service for my parents between airport and hotel, the drivers are punctual, helpful and very kind. The room is really remarkable ! Location is terrific, pratique for all the famous tourisme sites. My parents enjoyed their trip very much and highly recommend me to stay when I travel in Barcelona. Thank you all !

The concierge and butlers are consummate professionals who ensured all our needs were taken care of. So impressed with them! A joy to see every morning before heading out.
