Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Isle of ManThe tea bags 😂😂😂 Take your own ☺️
What a wonderful hotel! Absolutely faultless. Location - perfect for everything! Malaga is full of Museums and Galleries within walking distance to the hotel. Malaga is busy but spacious and has glorious gardens and tree lined streets. The hotel is close to harbouring, super yachts and little walk to the beach along a lovely shaded walkway. Walk a bit further and you see sardines and other fish being grilled on open barbecues. The shops are across the road…..many high end shops along with various shops accommodating all price ranges. Bars and restaurants are all around the hotel and during our 6 days stay never had a disappointing meal! The pubs were great too and had great character. Service - The hotel staff are very friendly indeed and greet you each time you enter or leave the hotel. They seem to really want you to enjoy your stay with them. Breakfast - This is in a smallish space below the ground floor. Two beautiful girls seem to run it, with amazing efficiency and care. Everything they do is done so well and the place is spotlessly clean (I really hope their employers appreciate how exceptional they are!) The place was always half occupied, regardless of what time we came down for breakfast. It is entirely self-service. The food is fresh and put out little and often. Continental breakfast or English with lovely cheeses, fruits, pastries and everything else! Roof top bar - This is great! On our arrival there was a sign saying that the rooftop bar was full…..this was for people outside the hotel. We went for a look and there was space for us. Priority is given to hotel guests. Only once on Friday night, we saw it ‘very’ busy and even then, there was available space for us. Drinks are lovely, more expensive than some of the bars but as expected for a beautiful hotel and you get a decent measure!

United KingdomOur room was dark and on the ground floor. We ad two single beds instead of a double and when asked the hotel ask it was not possible to get the beds together and if we wanted to change then we would have to upgrade. By this time we had already unpacked and didn’t want to move again. The breakfast was extremely poor and I attention to what we were eating was given. There was one lady who had to deal with the whole hotel. Very unsatisfactory and not worth the m money.
It was central and you could get to the old town very easy. Lovely spot by the port and had a roof terrace.

United KingdomThe rooftop bar was open to the general public so some evenings it got a little busy, but as a hotel guest we were able to have drinks by the sunloungers which is an exclusive area dedicated to the people staying at the hotel. We thought the breakefast was overpriced and the breakfast room was in the basement without a view, so we took our breakfasts at one of the many cafes near to the hotel. We travelled with friends and requested rooms close to each other, although they were on the same floor they were not close.
The Valeria, is brilliantly located by the harbour in Malaga. It's very close to all the attractions of Malaga Old Town, which means you can walk to all the important sights, and the many restaurants and bars that populate this great little Spanish city. The room decor was modern and tastefully done. The bed was large and very comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious with two sinks, a bath and an excellent walk in shower. The wardrobes had plenty of space and hangers for our clothing. There was also beverage making facilities, kettle and so on. Although the hotel was well placed in town it was quiet at night. One of the real features of the Valeria is the roof top terrace with a small pool, comfortable double sunbeds, cocktail bar and stunning views. The staff we dealt with were very friendly, curtious and helpful. It was a great stay in a superb little hotel.

The hotel was right in the centre of Malaga so everything was on the doorstep, trains and buses were very easy to use. The room was very tidy and cleaned every day we were there. Did not have breakfast.

SwedenWine glasses in the room had been nice, otherwise nothing I can think of.
The hotel have a "small" and warm feeling about it compared to some larger branded hotels in the area. Perfect location close to the most interesting areas and sights in Malaga. The room was perfect in size and the facilities were excellent, everything was very clean and cosy. Very good breakfast with everything you can askfor. The "warm food",eggs, bacon could have been fresher. A very nice roof bar added to the expeince
