We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomOur stay was disgusting. It was impossible to shut the bathroom door. It was impossible to shut the shower door. The heating did NOT work. There was a large amount of mould in both the bedroom and bathroom. We have pictures to prove what we are saying is correct. IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE A FULL REFUND, WE WILL NEVER USE BOOKING .COM AGAIN. United KingdomStated that it was a secure carpark but the gate was not shut overnight. Musty smell throughout building. Bathroom had mould outside the shower & on the ceiling. Air con didn’t work very well.

United KingdomIt may be a personal preference but I was dismayed at having to use a code to get access to the code to enter the hotel and my room. Fortunately someone arrived and opened up the reception and booked us in. I may be old fashioned but I prefer interacting with people to only facing a machine.
The room was a reasonable size, the shower pretty good and the breakfast also was good.

United KingdomI can’t think of anything I didn’t like except the circumstances of me baking there.
Room was exceptionally clean and the breakfast was excellent. I was staying there because my wife was in the hospital just up the road. The staff could not have been kinder and more helpful. When my wife was moved to Poitiers hospital which is bigger I got a full refund on the nights I had left on my booking, even though I don’t think I was entitled to all of it. I all that wonderful service and I thank them very very much.

United KingdomWe requested a ground floor room, as pensioners we find it difficult to climb stairs with bags, and we knew they didn’t have a lift. We were allocated a room which was for disabled people in a wheelchair. It was shabby, with nail holes in walls and wallpaper scuffed. The bathroom, although suitable for wheelchair users could have been cleaner. The shower was positioned in front of window, with no blinds or curtains. The bed had been turned around to be accessible but a second person would find it difficult to get into and out of bed. We did not request a room for disabled access, only for a normal ground floor room. A disabled person would be upset and offended to be offered this room. As were we!! We did complain to the management at the time and were told they were full that night .

United Kingdomwe had luggage on the roof of the car, we were advised to remove this as security's were a problem, so after driving for the last 11 hrs I then had to spend another 1.5 hrs un-strapping everything, and because this hotel has no lifts I had to jam it all inside the car damaging the rear door inside, of a car less than 3 weeks old. The lights in the corridor did not come on only 1 sometimes 2. Leaving you in the dark breakfast consisted of rubberized scrambled egg and greasy bacon, decent coffee though, no kettle in the room but hey you can blow 2€ on not even a full cup of coffee downstairs. After staying here i came away feeling more tired than when I arrived.

NetherlandsMouldy smel in the cooridors and staircases. No lift. Room smelled like cigarette smoke, masked with a deodorant, but that did'nt help. So I had to CANCEL my stay. What I did not like was that, after several attempts of Booking to ask the hotel to refund me in spite, the Hotel ment that I accepted the room by entering it. I decline that, and I did not accept the room. But there was no one to tell to or to call. After these attempts in vain from Booking, I wrote the whole story to the Hotel myself. but up to now I got no answer.
What I liked was that I could make a reservation with Booking for another Chatellerault Hotel. B&B Hotel Chatellerault was NOT accepted, but no refund of my money. From Booking I got a goodwill gesture, they did put a (small) amount in my wallet.
