How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room size is small for the price but I guess this is what you get in Paris. There is nothing else to complain about.
The location is very good. Asauadin the staff at reception was very helpful. Other staff was also good but Asaudin welcomed us and was very reponsive to our queries, thank you assuadin. The room size is small as it was a 2 star hotel property so it was expected. The bathroom was very clean and newly done I guess. The room had a fan and a heater which was very helpful. It is value for money. Since it was in the city the metro was accessible and we enjoyed the local restaurants.

Room was a little worn. Bathroom was biggest problem, a high walled bathtub with a hand held shower lying in it, you had sit in it, no shower curtain or water would go all over the place. As we are older, we had to help each other get out.
Location was great, short walk to M4 which took you almost everywhere. Many good restaurants near by.

One pillow on the bed that is very small. Would prefer if they were bigger or there were more than one, but that's the only gripe - I'm sure we could have asked for more.
Modern, clean bathroom. Lovely building with original features but modern where needed to be. Very pleasantly surprised, don't be put off by the graffiti on the building next door. This place is spotless and well kept.

No tea / coffee making facilities in the room Booking in was strictly 3 o clock only , no checking if room was ready early
Breakfast was overpriced for what was available , local cafés offer cooked breakfast for a little more money.

Rooms were small. Shower only had handheld shower head which is awkward to try to wash hair then.
Location was great, walking distance from many good restaurants and from metro. Great little boulangerie just down the street. Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean.

My room 309 was large and quite nice but full of mould and the drier didn't work I was moved.to another room301 where renovations were going on and the room was smaller but quite noisy during the day. very new.and.clean shower but run down furniture. The place needs a bit of a face lift. Still the staff did their.vest to satisfy me.
The staff was extremely friendly, polite effective and welcoming. The dinning room and sitting area looked beautiful. The location is fantastic . There is some renovations going on very noisy during the day

The staff is ok, but could be more hospitable
We stayed on the top floor and it was great. The room is small but that’s ok for Paris. The facilities were clean and decent. The location is convenient for exploring the city.

Small rooms, but for 2 star hotel, it is extremely good value for the money. Some renovation noises were there which I m sure is a temporary problem.
Location is excellent. Close to all the tourist facilities, close to 3 train stations, few steps from cafes and restaurants, and laundromat that we used. Owner himself is available during the day most of the time, and takes care of any of your needs and goes above an beyond to help you in any way that he can

The staff was rude. When you arrive from a 13h flight, you don't want to be received by a recepcionis who says you don't have a reservation with the hotel, making a minimum effort to check your data in the system. I had to proove I actually had a reservation and that I was allowed to entre the room before official check in time, as agreed previously with staff.
The location is very good, the room and shower are decent.

Very old bathroom, old hairblower, no extras, no slippers, not very comfortable
The location was perfect. You are next to centre pompidou, louvre , shopping facilities, bars and restaurants.

Facilities, in particular my room - bathroom need to be refurbished. Receptionnist behaviour was only fair. Continental breakfast would be a must.
Very well located for both business and sightseeing. Also metro and RER are within five minutes walk distance.

Our room was on 6th floor and was very small and uncomfortable. No drinking water or facilities (kettle etc) provided. Room was warm even in January. Bed and furniture were old but clean. No space for luggage. Tiny en suite bathroom (shower was good). I would definitely pay more next time for better facilities.
A great location. The hotel is a traditional Paris hotel , with helpful staff and a good continental breakfast.
