Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location of hotel was great, very short walk from Gare du Nord. Rooms were quiet, front reception staff friendly and helpful. Good choice of eateries nearby. Walkable to Sacre Coeur. Would stay again, good value in Paris.

The hotel has the best location next to Gard du Nord and very friendly staff. Also, overall the rooms are quite comfortable.

United KingdomUnfortunately our room over looked the hostel over the road which did get very crowded and noisy in the evenings and also we were on the 5th floor and the lift was on the small side and could feel very uncomfortable if there was more than 2 of you it!
The location was perfect and literally a few minutes walk from the train station. It was very clean and tidy! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful!

NorwayThe room appeared to have been cleaned some time ago, and therefore it was quite dusty. It also had a type of fabric wallpaper that seemed to catch a lot of the dust, so I would not recommend this room to someone with dust allergy.
The hotel was inbetween Gare d'Nord and Gare d'Est. Only a couple of minutes by foot. The room had a kettle, tea and coffee. Very comfortable bed (but quite high pillows). They had a lift, but it was quite small. The room had an interesting shape, and was alittle clumsy to get into (but nothing major). It was a good place for a short stay!

Great location from station, 2 minute walk. Clean and comfortable room, not spacious but enough room. Was worried at first about noise from road but didn’t bother us at all. Water, tea and coffee in room. Nice towels, hairdryer good but not for thick hair! Breakfast was well stocked buffet and all tasted nice and fresh. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Would return!

BulgariaThe neighborhood is a bit unpleasant at night, there are a lot of suspicious faces, just avoid the late hours. They charged us another 75 euro city tax, although it says that it is included in the price in booking. The shower and sink in the bathroom are quite depreciated. The channels on the TV are on in french.
The staff was very polite, the place is clean, although we caught a huge bed bug the first night. But for the next ones we had no problems. Our room was cleaned every day and towels were changed. Close to public transport stops, shops and bakeries.
