Live like a local on a historic alley in Saint-Germain!

Nothing to "not like." Visitors to Paris should realize that the city and buildings in the Saint-Germaine / Latin Quarter are several hundred years old, which is part of the charm. The WC could have been larger, but was most likely an addition to the original construction. The shower seemed to have been recently upgraded and was wonderful! Thank you to the host for making this apartment available for others to enjoy!

The host made us feel extremely welcome and relaxed upon arrival - the feeling that this was our home while staying in Saint-Germaine / Paris. The location was perfect - an eclectic and historic alley in one of the most delightful neighborhoods in Paris. Several windows to open onto the views of the rooftops and the street below made the stay even more fun -- "living like a local." Close access to Metro and RER, and within reasonable walking distance through the Latin Quarter toward Isle Saint-Louis, and Notre Dame or toward the are galleries (Orsay, L'Orangerie, and Louvre), Tuileries Garden and Luxembourg Garden -- very easy stroll, with shopping along the way. The alley apartment is located just steps away from the oldest restaurant in Paris -- amazing - and several other restaurants and quaint shops. This apartment is a delight, and an exceptional location for a first visit to Paris, or a return, again and again.

It is very well located close to bars, restaurants, etc..but it can be a little bit noisy at night. Although is totally worth it the stay.

The location and the hostess was very kind.

The location was fantastic. The host is wonderful and a great communicator and very easy to work with. The elevator in the building was a huge plus.

Lovely spot, tiny rooms as is standard in these buildings, lots of charm with small issues that could easily be fixed.

Booking.com only processed 25% of the payment and the owner was asking for the remainder (plus a €400 “noise compliant” deposit) in cash on arrival. After a few messages I was able to organise a bank transfer instead and thankfully we did not pay the “noise” deposit because the owner was out of town when we vacated. when we arrived we discovered the address listed on booking.com was only for the street (it’s in the ally #59). It took an hour and an international phone call to reach the owner who came down to give us the key. She apologised and assured us this miscommunication was uncommon. Another caveat worth noting is that there’s an identical switch right next to light switch in the kitchen that turns off power to the entire kitchen. Including the fridge. We also had to buy toilet paper as there was only half a roll. Mostly Little things that hopefully will not affect you but this was just our experience.

Great location and good value for money. We loved Paris and it was a great spot. Vibrant and close to everything.
