Very weak WiFi signal in the room. Impossible to use it so I had to use my roaming mobile internet. The shower head holder was broken. In the evening, between 10 and 11 pm there was no hot water, it only appeared around midnight. The hotel has one parking space, which is located in a different building nearby. However, it costs 16 euros per day. I didn't notice this when I was making the reservation, my bad. But nobody ever mentioned this fact in their comments either so I will be the first one, lol. Here's the instructions if you are traveling by car and have reserved the parking space in advance. Stop right on the street in front of the hotel door. It's okay to leave your car there for a couple of minutes. Go inside the hotel and tell them who you are. They'll give you the key to the parking garage and instructions on how to find it.

The location was good, within walking distance from the old town. The staff is friendly and speaks a little bit of English. If you're traveling on a budget, take note that prices in grocery stores in the center of Nice are about 30-50% higher than on average in France.

The only downside I can think of is how small the bathroom was, I think in Nice it's quite common for rooms to be small so I was expecting it, but the space is definitely very cramped in the bathroom. If we hadn't been going out all day and most of the evening during our stay I might have asked for a kettle as it's not provided as standard in the room, although the reception staff did let me know we could ask for that if needed.

The room was spotless and the bed was really comfortable. The room got cleaned every day and fresh towels etc provided. The staff were helpful and very friendly. The location was ideal for where we wanted to go and visit on our trip. The room itself was also a lot more spacious than I expected after reading that all hotels were small and cramped. The little book in the room also gave us information on which important woman in history our room was based on which was interesting to read.

The bathroom was super narrow, won’t fit a chubby person 😂. The bedroom pillows weren’t really comfortable while sleeping.

I liked the place was so cute, easy to find and accessible to the tram and 12 mins to train station. Supermarkets, patisseries are nearby. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was nice. Room is clean with mini fridge. Towels and baskets are changed everyday.

The walls are thin,so you're apt to hear people in the night coming back late if they don't take care.

I was on the quiet side. The room was small, but comfortable and if you pay a little extra, you get a wonderful breakfast including fruit and orange juice. The rooms have individual names of famous women, hence the hotel name.

The plumbing is old, and hot water is not very stable. But it's part of the ambiance :-)

Lovely place! Rooms are small (which is not unusual in these kinds of old buildings) but has everything basic you need, breakfast is superb, staff (and dog!) are helpful and kind. We had a very nice 3 night stay and would love to come back.

Great place to rest after exploring the city

The place is ideal for a single person / couple if you need a place to rest. The room is very small but with a tiny personal bathroom, fridge, open storage place, TV, 2 chairs and a table. We read in the other comments about steep stairs so it was OK for us.

In general we were glad that we stayed in this hotel. It is small but with home vibes. In particular, Location: the location is great, close to the city center (old town), L2 train station - which is the train from the airport, railway station to take you to the other cities of Cote d'Azur. There are supermarkets and cafes nearby as well. There is no noise from the street. Staff: hosts were super-friendly and ready to help Breakfast: not with a big variety of items but fresh and tasty. You can also eat in the patio.

The bed was not comfortable for me.

I was thoroughly impressed with the hotel's prime location. Its proximity to major attractions, as well as the convenience of having both train and bus stations nearby, made exploring the city a breeze. Despite the room being compact in size, it was thoughtfully designed and equipped with all the essentials, ensuring a comfortable stay. The reliable wifi connection was an added bonus and the value for money, making it an ideal choice for budget-conscious travelers.

We've seen Google reviews complaining about the size of the rooms. They aren't huge but are big enough, standard for independent hotels in France. There is no lift (which the hotels website points out) but the staff are happy to help taking luggage to and from the rooms. There isn't air conditioning, hence the fridge in the room. This didn't bother us at all (it got upto 24 degrees outside) and I only mention it to say don't let this put you off considering this one star hotel.

This is an independent hotel owned and run by very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly people for whom nothing was too much trouble. It's unique, with each room being themed on a famous woman. Our room was very comfortable and had a fridge which was very useful. It's just off the two tram lines that run through Nice and access to districts (including the old town and the sea front) and to other forms of public transport is very good. There is a lot to see and do in the local area and there are many good restaurants within walking distance.

The Room and Bathroom is quite small , But Ok, manageable (At least for a Single Person) . Breakfast felt costly (11 EUR) Hence had nearby outside., No Lifts.

The location is quite in the Central Region of nice , The nearest Tram station Republique is just few mins walk . The Garibaldi Square and the Massena Square are nearby . The Bus Station for Monaco is some 10 mins walk , can get boarded into Bus No 602 To Monaco. where the travel is very scenic alongway at Mediterranean Coastline like VilleFrench-Sur-Mer Etc, The Train to Monaco also nearby station Gare Thiers - 12 Mins walk. The Room was comfortable . The Reception Staff was much helpful in guiding for the tours and the Important tourist spots in Nice and nearby Coastline Cities. ,helpful for any City Related information.

The room was very small for the price. You could not move in the bathroom, it was very small. The bed was too short for me, I am 1,75m. The walls are very thin, you can hear everything. Even the hallways were super small, when one door was open, you could not open the next or opposite ones. There were only stairs, no elevators. The hotel and the rooms seem very old-fashioned.

It was very clean and the bed was comfortable in softness. There was a small shower for yourself. A lot of possibilities to charge electronic devices. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. It is very close to the Nice city centre, approximately 600m from Vauban Bus Station.
