How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Breakfast was a bit overpriced in my opinion, but staff was willing to accommodate our special requests (gluten- and lactose intolerance) and kids could it for free so it compensated.
Clean, with all the essential amenities, coffee and tee pot in room, we appreciated also the little fridge. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The shower guard allowed water to splash out of the tub. The bar didn’t offer tapas. No drinking water offered in the room. Room was a little warm for us and the temperature couldn’t be adjusted below 23 deg. C.
Good breakfast selection, loved the salmon and fruit selections. The lobby decor was good. Lobby bathroom was clean. Was happy to have the option to park off the street, but appreciated the staff letting us know that street parking was free 6/6:30 pm to 8:30 am

The key codes to get into the car park and actual hotel were not properly working.
We liked the small kids area with toys and colouring pens. My toddlers really enjoyed playing here after a long trip. The bar was open so it was nice to sit with ours drinks and watch our kids play.

We visited the hotel for the second time and if there is an opportunity to visit again Tours I will not hesitate to stay here again.

Cleaning of room could have been better, but I think it was very busy, perhaps staff shortage? It was fine, not bad.
Breakfast was great, room pleasant and the location good. Good parking facilities.

Breakfast was very average in our opinion and perhaps we should have booked room only then taken breakfast at a local cafe or restaurant.
Very easy to find with on street parking adjacent to the hotel. Walking distance to the old quarter where there are many places to dine.

The fridge and kettle were dirty, also strains on the toilet seat which was off-putting.
Location was amazing and super helpful staff on hand. The bed and sofa was super comfortable.

The restaurant was disappointing. Housekeeping was quite careless at times -- not cleaning thoroughly, forgetting an open window or a pillow lying on the floor.
Perfect location just next to the railway station, but not overlooking the busy and loud square in front. The room was sizeable and the hotel fulfilled our request to provide us with a room not facing the trains, thus greatly contributing towards the quietness during the night. There is a paid parking attached to the property.

No toiletries provided (shampoo, conditioner).
Room was spacious, sofa bed was already made and our toddler slept on it comfortably, bathrooom could've been a little more cozy, but it met basic needs.

The staff was very nice, helpful and very professional at all steps of our journey from check-in, to sharing insights and suggestions around Tours and ultimately check-out. The room was extremely clean and modern, soundproof and comfortable for the whole family. Definitely good value for money !

The wifi was terrible. The manager knew there was a problem but couldn't fix it. Is much money as we pay a night. The wifi should be perfect. Get someone in to fix it. We had to have our windows open because it was too warm in the room, which in return you here everything outside. The bar, if you could call it that was bad they don't know how to mix drinks. They don't have a restaurant it's just for breakfast. The refrigerator was not very cool.
Every thing close to the train station which is a huge plus. The rooms are big bathrooms are nice.
