How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This is an expensive hotel, too expensive. At ca €250 per night we're unlikely to return. For all its pluses, the room has has a very silly design flaw - drawing the curtains is inordinately difficult. The fixed desk is too close to the window and prevents the curtains from closing easily. The floor length curtains have to be lifted to sit on top of the power cables for the kettle and coffee machine. Design madness.
The hotel is very well situated, only 5 minutes walk from the centre of life in Lille. The rooms are a good size and well provisioned. The staff are very friendly.

The cooked food provided at breakfast is COLD
The staff were friendly and very helpful, the room was of a high quality and the location is excellent if you are driving. The hotel is very central with easy access to the main square and also interesting bars and restaurants

Staff were so lovely. Very clean hotel. Location was excellent and receptionist shared a map with us and advised what sites to take in. Would definitely return

It was fine although the room felt a little dark. Perhaps we would choose a bigger brighter room if we ever stayed again.
Great location, car parking next door, friendly staff, clean. Convenient base for exploring the Western Front of WW1 which is what we did.

Nothing I can think of.
This is a great hotel in excellent condition. The Staff was very friendly and service minded. Specially Benjamin in the reception. I booked a King Suite which was great with comfy bed and had both a big walk-in shower + a bathtub. The hotel is only 3-5 min walk from the historic centrum in Lille which is has bars and restaurants everywhere. It is also less than 10 min walk to Gare De Lille Europe train station and 5 min walk to Gare De Lille Flanders train station.

Car parking & loading/unloading was unfortunately a headache due to recently imposed permanent traffic restrictions.
Usual high standard - lovely room & comfortable bed with a touch of luxury. Friendly staff. Not far from Grande Place!

The fact that a great part of the staff does not speak of understand english... If you work in a hotel it is a must to speak or understand a little bit of the english language.

Modern, clean & quiet. Great location.. walking distance of Eurostar and all sights. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Bar was great..wine and charcuterie board were very good . Bar staff were lovely too… helpful suggestions and brilliant service. Very relaxed stay in a fab hotel. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Great location. Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room spacious and spotless. Really enjoyed our stop at the hotel. Short distance from Eurostar station. On the edge of Lille old town so everything a short walk.

My mobile phone couldn't connect to the TV which was a bit annoying as we tried to watch a movie

Our room was ok, very comfy large bed. Lighting was not good, very dim. We only had one chair, (we were in the larger type room) the shower was good.
Very convenient, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, good atmosphere in the communal parts, ie bar and restaurant. Nice hotel to be in, really recommend.

It would have been better to have a sink next to toilet - we had separate shower room. The kettle was in a slightly awkward place.
The staff were lovely and kind. Breakfast was great - tasty. Location good. Only 10mins from station and close to old town. Lille very Christmassy. Room was comfortable and clean. We had a great time at the hotel.
