How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nice and modern hotel, with a fine atmosphere. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable. From walking distance to the center and with parking space. Some games available in the bar so our children were also happy.

The windows where closed at entrance, therefore it was quite warm in the room. A tip would be to leave the windows open by default in the warm months. The airconditioning in room 211 was not working. Because I only stayed for one night there was nothing they could do. Which I can understand, but the broken AC is a point of interest.
Nice modern looking and very clean rooms. Also convenient details like usb charging ports next to the bed.

Breakfast could have been better. Croissants were flimsy, fruit salad looks like it's from a can (in syrup), french bread wasn't fresh (inside was hard where it was cut in half), bad coffee and cornflakes had all gone soft. Considering these remarks I would say not worth 17 euros. Ventilation in bathroom didn't work
Great location. Really nice hotel and atmosphere. Good shower.

True enough, it was a good 20 minutes' walk out of town, but we knew that, and quite enjoyed walking off our heavy meals. In the hotel I got lost a bit, and couldn't quite work out the lift system. Tried to go visit the gym, but got lost on the way.
The Moxy is cool and curious. A warm welcome awaited, a simple place at the bar, which seemed great. There was a free welcome drink. The decor is fantastic - really fun. Breakfast was buffet, but plenty to choose from, and very informal, sitting in the bar. We located by chance a bar upstairs, with a bath full of colourful plastic balls - just an example of the tongue-in-cheek still life everywhere. A good find and close to the Beaux Arts. Also close to good craft beer pubs.

The bedroom was fine, little small but big enough. The bed itself wasn't that great, especially the mattress. I saw good reviews about the breakfast but to me it was dissapointing. Perhaps it was because we came reletivaly late but regardless we paid 17EUR just like anyone else. The pain au chocolats were flat like pancakes (like something stood on top of them and they all got flat), there were no croissants, the fruit was finished and it was just messy. The choices were okayish but not very much. Overal is was okay but I expected more.
Super nice staff, they were very friendly and helpful! The lobby is very appealing and modern, they also offered a welcome drink. The room itself was nice, just big enough. The bathroom was very good, shower was big and lovely scented soap hihi. We reserved a parking spot for our car which worked out well. However, when we made the reservation online, perhaps they could have mentioned that special parking spots were reserved for Moxy by marking them purple. We didn't know and just parked somehwere but then suddenly saw the purple marked parking spots.

Extra pillows would have been good.

The bed was a bit hard for us and the bathroom was a bit dark.
It’s very beautiful building and the lobby area is super cool. They offered us free welcome drinks. The location is close enough to the old city center. Street parking is free on Sundays and public holidays.

Modern, clean, good facilities, ample parking, strategic location (15min by foot to city centre) and a nice bar. Breakfast was really good as well. Don’t be deceived by the fact this place only has a 3* rating, can easily compete with more luxurious rated hotels.
