How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nice place for budget accommodation. Dorms with bunk beds. Very modern furniture and nice rooms. Good breakfast included. Location is perfect and easy to find.

No aircon or at least fan, it can get hot!!! As with other hostel, pay for everything. Check in at 3pm, although they can let you check in at around 2pm or earlier if you are French. I hope they also be more considerate with other guests and not be selective.
Huge dormitory rooms, comfortable beds with curtain adds a little privacy, well maintained building, clean lobby and common areas

Noisy throughout the day. Poor sound insulation. Can hear children running and people moving about the upstairs floor, and bathroom use through the walls. Bathrooms cleaned very well in the morning, but are completely off limits around 6:30-8:00 depending on floor, so you may have to adjust your morning routine. Luggage storage before/after check-in is a paid service.
Very clean. Comfortable restaurant and lounge area. Male/Female completely separate bathrooms. Live DJ on Saturday. Great location for going to scenic attractions and night life. Front desk staff smiling, helpful and efficient. Restaurant staff also friendly and kept the lounge area clean. Other customers were friendly and sociable when engaged, and well-behaved when I visited.

Close to city center. You can feel pure hostel spirit. Bathroom iş clean. Also there is a nice, friendly and cheap cafe at the entrance of the hostel. Rooms are bir enough for 8 people

Warm water didn't came on the second day morning.
Was clean, neat and had a curtain on each bed. Lighting on each bed was great as well as the brightness was adjustable.

As others have noted - the noise can be pretty bad with people coming and going at all times. The curtains were really noisy to drawer.
The People is very well set up with comfortable rooms and facilities. I do prefer the pods with the curtains - gives a bit of privacy. Staff were really pleasant and helpful.

Nothing! Other guests - a bunch of kids were so noisy running around, would be great if they impose no noise policy after 10

First of all the hostel has no locker in the bedrooms (first time that I saw that so you can pay 7€ each 24h to leave in their storage), the cleaning of the floor of the rooms should be better, I also missed a basket in the room (there was only a small one in the bathroom)
Bathroom with a good size (what’s make the shower time more comfy) nice beds and good staff.

There’s no cage or lockers in the rooms to put your backpack, only small lockers but you can’t lock them.
The hostel is one of the cleanest that I’ve been! It’s nice and comfortable. The location is great!

The rooms didn’t have a locked space to leave your belongings, so if you had some valuable items, the only option is to lock them near the reception in a room. You have to pay a fee for this (3 euros per 6 hours or 5 euros per 24 hours)
I liked the property a lot, it was very clean. The reception is always opened and the breakfast is really diverse and tasty. I would recommend because of the friendly atmosphere and safe environment for girls.

The bathroom was not ensuite, though there was a basin with a mirror inside the room to wash your hands or wear makeup.
The room was clean & the hostel was centrally located.

Not convinced about money/value the area is full under construction.

It was a little bit loud at night. Also, I would have loved a shared kitchen to make my own food.
The location is perfect and the rooms are nice. I liked that there are some shelves next to the bed and the curtain, so you have more privacy.

Walls are paper-thin. Beds aren't that comfortable and not enough toilets/showers for the number of people staying. No lockers in the rooms, but paid downstairs.
Great location, friendly staff and very nice breakfast for an affordable price. Nice and modern building with a spacious bar. Curtains, light and power outlets in beds.
