How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

All perfect
Very calm place. Very clean. Nice view to the sea from the balcony. The guests are very nice. Homemade marmelade and syrup fruit are delicious. I strongly recommend this place.

We wish we had stayed an extra day!
The guesthouse is located in a quiet neighborhood uphill from the old town with a view of the Palamidi Fortress. The room was large, well-appointed, and welcoming. We stayed 3 nights and used the guesthouse as our base for exploring the numerous archeological sites in the Nafplio area. The breakfasts were great and we enjoyed talking to the host and other guests before our daily trips. We ate dinner each night in Nafplio's old town which is a very short drive from the guesthouse.

The hosts are wonderful. The breakfast was excellent (best in Greece from our trip). The house is located in a quiet neighbourhood. The room has a lovely view and balcony.

The Pension is located in the new uphill part of Nafplion with wonderful views of the town and the Palamidi Fortress. It’s, 15-20 min by foot from the Old City gate. The room was spacious and clean. The lady host if very friendly, recommends restaurants, and makes the excellent breakfast: fresh fruits, local pastries, fresh squeezed orange juice and several types of coffee.

Pension Aerinon is located in the new uphill part of Nafplion town, 15-20 min by foot from the Old City gate. From your balcony you have a beautiful view of the bay below and of the fortress above. The room was spacious and clean. Good breakfast.

We did appreciate that a breakfast was provided, however this would not appeal to people who are not accustomed to eating spanokopita and other pastries in the morning. We settled for the hard boiled eggs, cheese, cold meat, tea and bread with jam. There are lots of barking dogs in the neighbourhood that bark at anything that moves - incessantly - so not pleasant to hear and the solution is to close the soundproof door and put the aircon on. Not ideal if you like fresh air and to sit on the balcony, or in the room with just the screen door closed. Heaps of noisy squealing kids, loud talkers, motorbikes and cars with the doors being slammed at all times. We found it hard to be relaxed with having to shut the room up for some peace and quiet
Lovely old building renovated for guest house. The room was lovely and decorated to a high standard. We had a view to Palamidi Castle. I miscalculated the dates and the kind lady was able to contact booking.com on my behalf and assist with the correction - I am genius 3 but could not get any help with Customer Service (phoned and got a message in Greek - I do not speak Greek) I also tried to change the date online myself - no luck. So I would like to publicly thank the young lady for her time and efforts. I would also like to ask why booking.com has no option for Customer Service messaging? NOT PLEASED.

One small remark: Please add a plastic curtain to the shower. The whole bathroom floor is flooded after having a bath.

Beautiful room, patio, delicious breakfast, lovely staff I had a wasp sting. The staff went to the pharmacy to get me medicine and wouldn't let me pay for it... such a wonderful hostess... great restaurant recommendation too!

The air conditioner was too weak.
Perfect quiet location. Beautiful view to the city if you are on the top floor. I loved to stay there.

I definitely recommend this place if you have car, it is away from the crowd but close enough to the city center. You can walk or drive down to the old city, walking up will be a bit hard because it is up the hill but worth every corner where you can see the local life. Parking available on site. Very comfortable and clean. The family running it are so helpful and hospitable.

Wonderful balcony looking up to the Palamidi and out over Nafplio. Great host who recommended excellent restaurants. Steep walk back up afterwards but worth it.

The property is very nice, clean and cozy. It is located in a quiet place close to the old town- just 10 minutes of slow walking to it. There is a nice view to the citadel out from the balcony. you must visit the city, because it is very beautiful ant it has REALY good tavernas to get one of the biggest pleasures in life - an excellent food. We would come here some time again. 28/05/2023.

The walk into town was a little further than we were led to believe.
