It’s a tastefully renovated village property. The bedrooms are comfortable and pleasant. The little breakfast room has a cosy wood burning fireplace, ideal as it was only April. It’s setting in the village is an added bonus, with easy access by road. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Bathrooms could be bit bigger but we understand that due to space were of that size. Also the frame of the beds can be improved in the upcoming years.

One minor thing is that the mattress was too hard for me, yet I understand that this is subjective. Others prefer it this way.

The town itself is quite remote and we couldn’t even find an open restaurant to have dinner.

A lovely old building in the heart of Andritsana. Finding it by Google was a challenge, but that was about the narrow streets of the town (even by Greek standards) and the hairpin turns on those. The hostess was charming and very accommodating when we needed to arrive a little late. She also pointed us towards a fascinating exhibit on early printed books at the local library that the town is justifiably proud of. Convenient base for Bassae and the many hiking trails between Bassae and other monuments in the region. Very pleasant breakfast.

Andritsaina is a special place and Archontiko is a hotel to match. It feels rather like a ski lodge with fabulous views down the valley.

Delightful old stone village houses perched on a hillside and repurposed as a hotel. Quite basic and small rooms, but charming and cheap. An issued breakfast of large thick pancakes swimming in honey and cinnamon is enough for six people.

We would have liked a bigger room. Clients must be aware of the number of stone steps to climb to reach the accommodation while dragging along a suitcase. One needs to be physically mobile especially if one is elderly.

The breakfast was outstanding - the best that we encountered during our entire road trip. Home made yoghurt, home-grown tomatoes and olives, home made jams, almonds and walnuts, delicious honey, home made cheese pies as well as freshly baked pancakes, etc. It was exceptional and truly delicious, served on the patio. Our room was small and compact but it offered us everything we needed and all of it worked. Our hosts were also friendly and helpful.

One of the most charming hotels I have ever encountered. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good beds. Lovely view from the balcony with good seating. Room was very clean. Breakfast was made for us individually (we were the only guests) and was lovely, even including an woodfire.

There is nothing to dislike about this fine small hotel.

This is a perfect small hotel. It is in a restored building dating back to 1865. The restoration has been superb. The building and the rooms are exceptionally well done. The staff and management are the best, warm, friendly, helpful, and go beyond to assure that your stay is pleasant and relaxing.

Perfect location in an old renovated historical building like a castel. Room super clean, wood floor, renovated old style with antique fornitures and modern bathroom comforts, stone wall that reminds me italian's Tuscany, details all over. Private balcony surrounded by a beautiful mountain view. Homemade breakfast with sweet and salty options. Since they knew we are vegans, great surprise they made amazing tasty vegan pancakes and chocolate cake for us. This is the best place ever!
