Shower cubicles very small...requiring exit to reclothe after use...with compromise to personal privacy in shared female bathroom. Difficult to avoid water from shower spraying on to bathroom floor...making a slip hazard. A bench for clothing and bath mats and floor mop would be helpful.

The hostel is situated in the very center of the Iraklion. Everything is easy to reach by foot. The rooms were very clean and foreseen with all described accommodations.

Friendly staff, good location, well-appointed kitchen (supermarket nearby), and spacious bathroom. Common areas include a pleasant dining room and a rooftop terrace for socializing. Bunks have a light, a charging point, and a privacy curtain. Locker and towel provided. Would stay again.

The laundry machine instructions are not clear and when you asked the staff about a dryer they tell you that the laundry machine includes a dryer, but that is not accurate. The clothes come out damp and you have to figure out where to hang them to dry.

This hostel is very modern, it is perfectly located in the downtown area near to a well known park. The rooms have their own shower and toilets. There are also additional showers and toilets in the hallways. The kitchen is huge and have space for two people to cook at the same time. It also has a large dinning table and a nice view from the top. There is an elevator and it takes you to the 7th floor where there is a bar. There are laundry machines, but no dryer. The bunk beds have courtains for privacy and they provide sheets and towels.

Bathroom (shared) was at the end of the hall. Not a huge issue unless you get up a lot at night. Small showers with nowhere to set dry clothes.

Excellent lock system (no keys). Comfy beds. Big kitchen with large dining area. Nice rooftop area with common room.

I liked the atmosphere at Intra Muros Hostel, very spacious and cozy place to stay at while visiting Crete. The hostel is at a calm area of Heraklion. I enjoyed a lot the views from the rooftop. The host was very welcoming and helpful. I am grateful and definitely would recommend this place.

That i only stayed 1 night. Would have loved to stay longer if it wasn't for the ferry timetable.

First of all i loved the welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I was encouraged to use the kitchen and cook a proper meal (I only ever boil water in hostels), which i was then able to share. My usual hostel communication consists of muttering 'Hi' or 'Monin', the top being 'Where are you from?' Here i was immediately engulfed in conversations and later spent a magical night talking, singing and a general internationa and intergenerational fun night. It might have been a random mix of random people, but I felt a strong genius loci. Cleanliness, practicality, location and value for money-absolute top number 1!

Even though the facilities were immaculately clean, there were small flies everywhere. It was very strange. Also, it would have nice if the shower rooms had a private space with a curtain (perhaps the corner alcove) where one could change clothing; otherwise, one is changing in a very open space and at the risk of someone walking in. The toilet rooms and the showers themselves are too small to change clothing in.

Chill vibe and friendly staff. Very spacious and light room (6-bed women’s dormitory), as well as a lovely patio space on top of the building. Also, there was a nice little balcony with a table and chairs just outside the women’s dormitory that was great place to relax and unwind.

Shower heads in ladies' bathroom are all broken. The kitchen was often dirty from guests not cleaning up and had to wash all dishes before using them, I wouldn't have cooked here. The fridge could use a good cleaning.

Truly my favorite hostel I've stayed in, which was largely because of the volunteers and other guests. But the facilities and location were good, bed was comfortable, etc. There were only two of us in the four person dorm but I imagine it may have been a bit tight if all beds were filled. It's the kind of locker where you need a lock but I didn't have one so the hostel lent me one. Nice seating area on roof.

Very friendly staff, happy to help with any questions, give very good tips for the city, order taxis, etc. You can get towels free of charge upon request. Great place to meet people, you can meet on the cozy roof terrace or in the well-equipped kitchen, everything is nice and newly renovated in a stylish old townhouse. New mattresses. Good WiFi. Pretty clean for a hostel. Very easy to reach from the airport by city bus, just a three-minute walk from the stop: If you're coming from the airport, don't get off at the central square or bus station, but at the Agios Minas Cathedral. Very quiet location, but just a few minutes walk to the town center with many taverns, bars and shops.

Side door was left open a lot for cooking and stuff (it opened straight on to the kitchen)- didn't mind it really but saw it as a potential security risk, although there are ofc codes to the actual dorms.

A very nice little accom in Heraklion. The building is very pretty, spacious, and clean. The rooms themselves are fairly standard but well kept, with curtains and lockers in the room. Particularly impressed with communal toilet and shower facilities, which seemed to be kept very clean and orderly while we were there. The staff were friendly; we were only there for a couple of nights so didn't really get to appreciate all the hostel had to offer i feel, but others who stayed there seemed very friendly and comfortable at the accom, i think it seemed like a very sociable and pleasant communal place to stay if you have a little more time.
