It was about a 10 minute walk and then a 10 minute bus to the beach, or a 30 minute walk. If you're planning to spend a lot of time at the beach, you might prefer another location - but we didn't mind this as it meant we could explore the town more.

The family-run aspect of the hotel is so lovely - Nikos and Yiannis are so friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed chatting to them and they helped us make the most of our time there. Nothing was too much trouble. We also loved the breakfast - great quality food prepared exactly as you like it (the scrambled eggs and yoghurt were amazing) and a great opportunity to try local delicacies. We also enjoyed it in the terrace garden which was a really pretty setting. The room was really diligently cleaned, with all sand gone every day! The location was great for exploring the city, and loads of really great restaurants were very close by.

I am not a fan of coffee with hazelnut flavoring so I would have preferred coffee that does not have such flavoring - but this is a tiny complaint.

The people who run the hotel are extremely nice, and had excellent suggestions for places to eat lunch and dinner as well as how to get to different museums and places of interest. Breakfast was excellent - but too much! Giving us the Cretan "little specialties" was very nice but I worried that we were wasting food. Otherwise, delicious breakfast choices - especially the fresh orange juice, crepes (pancakes) with banana, omelettes, and yogurt with honey.

The family who run this hotel takes great care to make sure their guests are comfortable and have a good time. They offered to help us book activities, lent beach towels, and serve one of the best breakfasts I've ever had each morning. They really make you feel welcome and at home.

Nothing, we loved everything

A very welcoming family-run hotel. Our hosts were very hospitable and friendly. The location is perfect for walking around Chania. It is very close to lots of restaurants, bars and shops. The breakfast in the beautiful outdoor courtyard area was outstanding!.Lots of delicious dishes to try every day. We loved our stay in this wonderful hotel and we would definitely come back :)

Everything was outstanding

Amazing breakfast!!! Delicious yogurt and lot of stuff offered every morning with a big smile to welcome you everyday. Nikos and yannis are two wonderful people absolutely helpful kind and friendly. They helped us a lot when we needed their help and we are grateful for the amazing experience we had with them. We felt at home with you guys! We will come back!

Location is perfect. The most important thing is the owner brothers Niko and George are perfect people. They are really solution targeted and very friendly. As soon as we arrive there, they showed us what to do, where to eat, where to park and etc. Breakfast is really good and everyday they served homemade different foods. While we were going to the unorganized beach, they gave us a beach umbrella. If you come to Hania and choose this hotel, you don’t regret. Thanks for everything. We loved you so much ❤️

The staff is very considerate about their customers. As we were traveling with an 8months old baby they offered us an upgrade to a bigger room in a quieter area so in case the baby will cry, he won’t disturb other customers. What can I say?! I was very happy with the upgrade. The food was delicious. Would stay there anytime even without the upgrade :).

Excellent location, great and super comfortable room. One of the best stay in Crete. Delicious home made breakfast and the owners were both amazing! Warm, helpful and provided us with great tips to get the best out of our stay. Highly recommended! If you need a parking mention it in your reservation, the hotel can easily arrange a spot in the private parking just in front. Really convenient!

The hotel is a small hotel in a very lively area few minutes from the venetian harbour. Rooms are very quiet and comfortable. Large variety of breakfast "á la carte" specifically prepared for each guest and served in a nice courtyard.

Nothing - everything was perfect.

Loved our stay at the hotel. Yannis and Nikos were amazing and helped us with everything. Gave us loads of recommendations where to go and booked us on a lovely hike. They were checking ferry times for us and weather to make sure that we went to the perfect beach. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. They were brilliant. Also great choices at breakfast with crepes and homemade cakes.

We would prefered room to have more intense lightning. And for breakfast it would be nice if added some croissants, as they go perfectly with filtered coffee.

1. Location was great, near to everything, restaurants, bars, cafes, port. 2. The hotel was tastefully furnished, very romantic. 3. Courtyard, where breakfast was served every morning was very nice and serene. 4. Last but not least, the owners were very kind and helful. They provided us with everything we needed during our stay and also gave us excellent suggestions.
