It seems to be common in Bali so not exclusive to this hotel but I didn’t like that the white towels although clean were stained. Perhaps having towels in a darker colour would resolve this?

Everything was generally amazing but the bath towels could have used some bleach as there were some "clean stains".

Amara is a wonderful small boutique hotel located off one of the main streets of Uluwatu, next door to a mix of cafes, restaurants and shops. It is tucked a bit further down a driveway so you don't hear the noise from the street. The rooms are as expected in the photos and description and breakfast is served daily from their simple menu. You can choose to have this served in your room or at the bar by the pool. Filtered drinking water is provided complimentary in the rooms (as well as bottled water in your mini bar) - this was great as me being super paranoid about getting sick, didn't have to go searching for clean water to use to brush my teeth. Security is there 24/7, so you don't have to worry about anything - this was great as a solo female traveller. All the staff and my interactions with them were amazing - they were always so polite and kind, and would be there to help with any questions. The team were especially so helpful with a last minute request for a driver to pick me up in Seminyak for dinner, which was 1 hour away with the traffic, and drive me back home to Amara. I would definitely go back here!

Amazing stay at this beautiful villa. The staff is extremely polite and very helpful. The location of the villa is right at the centre of Uluwatu, a lot of bars, restaurants and shops around. The breakfast was very good. The rooms are excactly like the ones on the pictures.

Beautiful room, very Greek vibes, great location as well just a walk away from Padang Padang beach. Staff were beautiful and very accomodating. Property very secure with 24hr security. No Tv but you’re hardly in your room!

Pros: - The property was exactly as pictured! - The staff went above and beyond with all my questions and remembered our names. - The room was so clean and stayed clean. - Breakfast options were great and tasty - Location was convenient for walking since we didn’t rent scooters. was easy to call Grab rides from too - the pool was relaxing

An oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Uluwatu. Right in the middle of shops, restaurants, beach, yoga - but still very relaxing. Great pool, great breakfast and the best, helpful staff!!!

Amazing location near the beach and shops and restaurants. Absolutely stunning place very clean very good service everyone so helpful and breakfast was the best we ever had from a hotel and they use an app to communicate. They got the little things right 100% recommend

Staff and facilities are incredible for a couple of solo traveller - breakfast each morning is delicious. Located in central Uluwatu and walking distance to Pedang Pedang. Feels so private and relaxing.

Nothing! The curtains are not black out but that didn’t bother us and the hotel provide kits with eye mask and earplugs.

Very friendly helpful staff, great comfy room with nice pool/ bar area and a great location for exploring Uluwatu. There are only 8 rooms and the vibe is chilled and relaxed with lovely fresh decor. The staff and service were really excellent, especially Rika who helped us out with all our questions and requests! Breakfast was really delicious and so nice to have it served to our balcony. It was also brilliant to be able to store luggage and use the pool/shower after checkout - we loved this as we had a late night flight after we checked out. Would very happily stay here again!

The staff went above and beyond for us. They took the time to get to know us and helped us make the most of our holiday. The room service was great and the rooms were modern and clean which I loved. Stay was super comfortable. Location was also great, plenty of food choices nearby, spas and the beach was only a 10 minute walk away.

A beautiful place to stay, right in the heart of Uluwatu. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, helping us arrange taxis/trips etc. The room was beautifully clean and spacious, and breakfast was fantastic.

We didn’t realise how deep the pool was until we hopped in. Would be great if there was signage as it’s probably not safe for children or people who can’t swim. It’s approx 2m deep
