When we arrived the toilet had flooded the hallway but after an hour or so was mended

We received a free room upgrade and paid a heavily discounted room rate as as such the stay was great ; huge traditional style room with sea views from it and large balcony . The pool was large and well maintained and as hotel mainly empty we had its use pretty much to ourselves

Main part of hotel is on the other side of the road, and build against mountain slope. Rooms on various levels, hence maintaining stairs to climb. To avoid the stairs we were moved to the seaside rooms above the restaurant kitchen but run down room.

Location is good. On seaside. Staff is pleasant and go out of there way to make your stay comfortable.

It could have been a little cleaner, and my shower had either boiling hot or cold water, nothing in between, and once switched to hot, it would not cool down again for minutes. It was a minor issue, though, and maybe if I'd have mentioned it to the staff, they could have fixed it. I'm staying there again soon, so I'll let them know then :) There was also some smell coming from the bathroom if you left the door open, but again, not a huge issue. I did feel like the AC struggled to keep the room cool at times.

The views are fantastic. There's some stairs to climb to get to the room, but it's worth it. The room itself is also massive, with a huge balcony with a hammock, and a little fridge on the balcony. There's a large swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers, and the included breakfast right on the beach is great. The layout of the room with the little desk with coffee and water is also very nice.

We loved this place except when in our room. We had a lower level room by the street so very noisy and the place in front with live music was so loud. Bed was very hard (we aren't usually picky on this). Large crack around the bathroom door, bathroom with outdoor window, so mosquitoes would get into the room (had to put bug spray to go to sleep). We sadly just didn't feel good IN our room but outside it, we absolutely LOVED...so maybe other rooms are better than the budget one 😅

Staff, location, facilities amazing! Two different pools with sun chairs, restaurant on other side of the street with the great breakfast (buffet style with many options, best we've had in Bali), sun chairs available by the beach, easy access to go snorkeling. Great spot with very kind and friendly staff!

The rooms themselves were fine, but the bathrooms were derelict. They were smelly (like old humid pipes) and the shower tray was clearly old. No hand towels, bath mat nor hand soap were provided either. The receptionists were also nice but extremely pushy for us to use the hotel’s services. It wouldn’t be an issue if it wasn’t several times per day they asked us if we finally booked our driver to our next destination! That felt a bit oppressive…

The location of the hotel was truly amazing. The sun beds provided for guests on the beach were really appreciated, not to mention they were right in front of a very nice snorkelling spot (we saw turtles 10m from the beach there!) The restaurant was also nice (the lime juice was especially tasty), and the restaurant staff lovely.

Mozzies getting into room and roof leaking when heavy rain. Not enough choice at breakfast. Another choice of fresh fruit would have been good, rather than only the same two every day. Also an option of a large fresh, cooked thin, pinapple pancake, rather than just a stack of very small, very plain, thick ones. on the buffet table. Would have been a good alternative to omelettes/eggs. Just minor details as all else good.

This was a lovely stay in an interesting Lumbung Style Chalet. It was on the cafe side of the road. A really nice outside raised balcony area, (you went up steps to the property) with comfy sofa, chair and nice table. Very pleasant in the evenings, with the very nice garden in front. Inside the chalet there was a lovely large window with a very good view of the sea. I did move a table and two chairs in front of this window, as just seemed such a nice place to relax with a drink etc. looking at the sea view, with the window wide open. There were also plug points, so very convenient to sit with a laptop. The table had been much further back, where dark, just against wall with no view at all and not a good place to sit. The bed was also very comfortable with mozzie nets all around. However mozzies could still get into the room, as open areas in the eves of the roof. Rain did leak in a couple of places when extremely heavy, including the downstairs bathroom. Thankfully it didn’t rain too much during my stay. Staff were always very helpful and would sort out any problems promptly. It was really nice, sat overlooking the beach every morning when having a nice buffet breakfast. I have stayed here before and really like the views from the top swimming pool and the very friendly staff. It is also a great place to stay and explore the area. There are some lovely walks along the coast and also up into the hills and mountains, where you can walk for hours and will encounter very friendly locals. I have even been invited in and offered refreshments, where they just seem pleased to see you. Definitely a nice area to spend some time exploring.

I had a great room but the WiFi was not working in it, and was not fixed during my stay. The WiFi around the rest of the property was great.

The location is perfect for the snorkeling off the beach. And it’s an easy walk down the road to all the best restaurants in town. This was my second time staying here and I had a wonderful week. I love the staff and the restaurant on site was amazing too.

Lumbung room is open air so just be aware that this means more bugs and the occasional gecko can be found. Amed is a bit spread out with a lot of road construction on-going. You can walk to other areas but it is a bit chaotic.

Nice place with beach access. Stayed in traditioinal lumbung style room - breeze off the water helped keep the temperature pretty comfortable. Very spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful - breakfast was very good.

Just little problem with electricity

The Spa, the room and the pools are great ! Value for money ! Almost all of the staff is friendly especially the girls in the spa !
