Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaOur room was behind the restaurant so we could hear all the noise as blender and chairs at 6:00am. But the staff was very nice moving us to another room. The location is a little bit far from the Ubud centre. A car cannot access the resort, so we needed to take a buggy to a drop off point and a cab from there. The resort offers shuttle three times per day what is very helpful. However, the rice field and nature surrounding the place are beautiful and it worth staying there.
The resort is amazing! I liked everything but specially the quite, pool and the room. The room was large, comfortable and well decorated. There are two pools and a beautiful surroundings. Massage, restaurant and yoga classes were a good addition to our stay. The staff was very nice and helpful.

United KingdomThere were shuttle services from the centre to the hotel, but there should have been a late one. May be it made sense from the business point of view.
It was an absolutely fabulous resort. The location was excellent. Car could not get to it, which made it a quiet place. You get picked up from the drop off point and it is surrounded by rice fields. The breakfast was served and the staff was exceptional. I am trying to find a fault but cannot find a fault. Oh yes, if you want to return from the UBUD centre, you have to take a taxi, that was the only fault.

NetherlandsEverything was awesome. The only thing I can say is that the gym can have some more equipment and cups or water, as they do offer water.
The food, the staff and the facilities were absolutely amazing. This place has you covered if you want to relax and enjoy Ubud. In the middle of the ricefileds you can enjoy the rest, while wuickly being able to visit ubud town with the motorbike that you can rent at Arya as well.

United KingdomThere was not much information regarding the pick up point and Google maps is not helpful. But the staff was super friendly and helped as much as possible
The rooms are big, clean, nice shower. The AC was a bit loud, and since we were close to the kitchen, there was some noise after 6AM. otherwise the pools were nice, the warm pool was excellent

AustraliaIf you were wanting to visit central Ubud daily I would suggest finding something closer, but it worked well for us with an infant only going in a couple of times. Just a note you can’t use a pram throughout the hotel grounds but that’s true for most of Bali.
We visited with our 8 month old and really appreciated the ease of our stay. All workers were incredibly polite and helpful, with wonderful service. The restaurant food was generally good (the Indonesian dishes were better than the western), the facilities were clean and well serviced. Our room was kept very clean which is always good when you have a crawling baby. The location is away from central Ubud but the shuttle transfers were convenient and we loved going for little walks through the local area, which was picturesque and very quiet. It’s also close to a few other good hotels/ restaurants in walking distance. You can hear the local temple music but we thought it was lovely. The spa treatments were wonderful and well priced.

SwedenThere is a small gym which could have better standard. That’s honestly the only thing to comment on.
Great place among ricefields and nature. The access is a short ride from a parking by golf cars as the road is too narrow for cars. A very cosy place and super service from outstanding friendly and helpful staff. Various spa facilities, yoga classe etc. Breakfast and dinner very tasty. Will for sure stay here again. The place has some years to it but that just adds to a genuin atmosphere. Value for money is 10/10

United StatesThe bathtub wasn't cleaned even after I called to have housekeeping clean it. They came to the room but did not clean it. The staff was very apologetic and offered to have housekeeping come a second time but I had already showered and was no longer interested.
This was my second stay at Arya and I loved it. I especially appreciated the warm care and attention of Dwi and Putu. They always went above and beyond to be friendly and accommodating. The stone chamber and spa are lovely. I highly recommend them. I also liked that the breakfast options changed every day.

AustraliaGym was really basic and not particularly well maintained. This seems par for the coarse in Bali so forget about maintaining the regime on holiday LOL. The room itself was a bit dark and had space for more furniture which was a bit sparse. Make sure you know how best to summon a taxi (use Grab coz regular taxis are insane in cost) because vehicles cannot directly access the hotel (rice field roads too narrow). The hotel shuttles you to the pick up point whenever you need.
The location was fantastic, in the rice fields and away from Ubud proper. All the spaces were tranquil and beautiful. The warm pool and the main pool are really nice. The room was comfortable and the verandah was a nice spot to chill and enjoy the evening or have a meal. The best thing were the staff, they were so courteous, friendly and welcoming. You can rent a scooter from them directly.

United StatesI didn’t like the arriving and leaving by golf cart, but I’m an anxious person and some may find that peaceful as it is a relaxation resort.
I loved the landscape and all of the creative spots they created for the guests. Also, the spa experience was amazing!
