Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaSharing the outdoors with critters, this has to be expected when being by this close to nature. In the bubble there was no bugs though. Outside though you need to be careful with food because the ants move in quickly.
Can’t get much closer to the ocean with these bubbles, it was a very beautiful property, listening to the waves at night and watching the sun set was amazing.

South AfricaA couple of ants. However the staff sorted that out.
We could not complain about anything except that our stay was too short. Next time I will stay a full week. It takes 2-3 days to unwind an explore. We loved playing the questionnaire card love connect game. Would have loved another game. The staff were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble.

United KingdomThe reception staff made us sign something to say we wouldn’t complain about carrying our bags along the beach to the bubble. I understand the emphasis on ensuring guests are aware of the walk with their luggage (less than 10 mins along the beach but you’d need to be fit with a large backpack) but the attitude about signing to confirm that we would not complain felt a little aggressive.
The view was stunning and the bubble amazing. The staff on the ground by the bubble were fantastic and so was the food. The team were super responsive on WhatsApp and there was WiFi to message them. The best view to wake up to everyday.

GreeceThe fact that you have to walk A LOT to get there. Actually there was a misunderstanding with the hotel manager there and we argued a bit since their guidelines although big weren’t clear enough. They should write that we can only have BACKPACKS rather than small bags since small bags can be carry ons. We had carryons and the manager there was arguing a lot with us and wasn’t polite. After that she was good to us and helpful but the first impression was not good. Also the fact that I couldn’t pay by card for my extras wasn’t good. All other staff was EXCELLENT. Absolutely great guys always with the smile and helpful.
The pool and the whole adventure was nice. Waking up and seeing the sea is excellent. Also having A/C is a must! Unique experience.

United KingdomIt’s quite remote, so you need a scooter to go downhill and then walk about 15-20 minutes along the beach to get to the bubble, which isn’t ideal at night time or when the tide is really in. The bubble gets really boiling at night time so I would only recommend for a one night stay.
Amazing Uluwatu getaway! The bubbles overlook Nyang Nyang beach, perfect for sunsets. Design wise it is perfect and staff are lovely, Especially Bim!

United Arab EmiratesThe food menu wasn’t huge, but we were expecting this in advance anyway and understand the challenges of catering at the bottom of a cliff! Coffee could have been better (maybe provide coffee pods or filter sachets?)
Stunning location, wonderful staff and the little touches were really lovely (lovely bedding, fluffy towels)

AustraliaThe accessibility of the location. The literal hotel is approximately 300m from the drop-off point. The drop-off point is approximately a 10-minute scooter ride from the reception. No car ride option available. This entails walking in the heat, with your luggage, through the tough to walk sand to get to your hotel room. Also, the beach is literally littered with garbage. Not the hotel's fault but the result of a myriad of circumstances including ours as tourists I'm afraid. Finally, the toilet / shower is external hence outdoors. Basically you are washing shampoo / gels etc into the plants around you.
Incredibly beautiful. The hotel and the beach. As long as you look past the flaws the stay is about as fairy tale as it gets. Sleeping in a slightly pressurised dome was surprisingly pleasant and the AC did an incredible job keeping it cool and pleasant. Incredible view with what feels like adequate privacy.

AustraliaThe access to the bubble was very bad. We needed to catch one bike and walk down to the beach around 10 minutes on the sand to get to the bubble.
The location was awesome. Next to the beach, with a private pool and special view.

United StatesPiece of sharp equipment in the pool that the management has promised to get fixed, 15 minute hike along the beach (disclaimer- we are 60 years old and not fit), low seated deck chairs (see disclaimer!), only one lounger. Needed better seating for breakfast and dinner in the cabana.
Great staff, great location with amazing views of the Indian Ocean, quiet, safe, food was well prepared and large portions, outdoor shower was a cool experience. The hammock was incredible lying there in the evenings and watching the stars.
