Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Immaculate place in Amed nestled in a quiet area yet close enough to walk to great restaurants, shops and the beach. The owners work really hard to keep the place in a beautiful condition. Enjoyed the food, ambience, pool and people. Would definitely stay again.

CanadaYou can’t sleep in because roosters and barking dogs will keep you up late and get you up early.
The pool was gorgeous and the room was lovely, where you have your own hut with an outdoor private connected bathroom.

It's how you see it in the photos - peaceful, stylish and very lush. You do need a scooter as the venue is a stretch from the beach and from various restaurants etc in the locale. You can get one from them.

United KingdomThe location is off the main road in Amed, this is what allows it to have such a nice garden location, but makes it less walkable - in case that's important to anyone. However it's easy and cheap to rent a scooter through reception for the day to help you get around better. The main road of Amed is rough and not paved like the roads, but we biked up to Tirta Gangga and Lempuyang easily, and in around half an hour so it's a good location for more east side exploring. There were lots of ants around, and on the walls in the bathroom area, but also seen on the floors around the main garden and pool so I suspect this is just normal of the area - it's just nature being free! No insects made it inside the room so everything was fine.
I chose to stay here as my partner booked some scuba diving in Amed, but I don't like diving so I wanted somewhere nice to stay for a rest day on our big trip - Kubu Kangin did not disappoint! The huts were higher quality than similar ones we've stayed in, even the pillows were better and firmer. The outdoor bathroom was really nice, it is part uncovered at the roof so you can see some nature out the top. The garden and pool area is stunning. The trees and plants are very well maintained, and the pool has 3 levels of depth, with the shallowest end walled up so easy to just sit in and chill. The breakfast is also absolutely amazing! We've had a lot of basic hotel breakfasts in Bali, but the quality here is better than some restaurants and meals we had on the entire island! The omelette is the best I've ever had (I'm still savouring about it) and the banana pancakes we're delicious and unique (slightly green as Balinese leaves are blended in the mixture). My partner also really appreciated that they accommodated an early breakfast (sit down, not in a box) before a morning dive. This was the best accommodation we stayed in on Bali, we wish we could have stayed for more than 2 nights, but diving (and staying in Amed for it) wasn't a big part of our trip. Overall I would absolutely recommend staying here.

AustraliaThis is the perfect place to stay if you want peace and quiet. It’s still close to the main strip in Amed, but it’s away from all the road work and construction. It’s a very tranquil, quiet and private resort, surrounded by lush immaculate gardens. The pool was so nice to relax in all afternoon when the weather was so hot. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Our room was a beautiful, spacious and cooling space, with great air conditioning and the outdoor/alfresco bathroom was really private with great shade, out of the harsh heat of the sun. The room also had the most gorgeous sea shell chandelier. It was such a stunning space. This was one of the most relaxing places we’ve stayed and we will definitely be staying here everytime we visit Amed.

Everything. Amed was such a great surprise. This accommodation reflected the warm chilled vibes of Amed. It’s family run and they can’t do enough to help you. Seriously good value. Gorgeous pool and even more beautiful gardens. Breakfast was lovely too. They helped us organise snorkelling, bike hire and good places to go for food. The villas/rooms are lovely with everything you need.

The most beautiful place i have stayed at in bali! Great room , comfy beds, quiet accomodation and you feel like your the only ones there. Great breakfast options also. The staff made breakfast early too on 2 occasions. Theres also some resort cats/kittens that seem well looked after which to me says alot about the people running the place! Pool is lovely and location is great - able to walk to some warungs. As always in Amed - you need a scooter to get around.

SpainThe staff was extremely nice and helpful, always there to make sure we were ok, they helped us to rent a bike and also to book a driver to our next destination. The bungalows are really nice and spacious, there are amenities in the room such as a kettle and tea. The pool is really nice, there is only four bungalows so it is very private and quiet. There was some noise from dogs and cockerels nearby but nothing that would disturb us. The location is ok, not in the main road so it is a bit of a walk to some places but with a bike there's no problem.
