The lodge did send us an email letting us know, but we missed it: there's an arrival station just off the main road and the lodge provides a shuttle up to their resort. It's up a terribly steep, winding road- don't attempt this in a car!

The lodge was absolutely gorgeous. We were sad to have to leave after only 2 nights. We visited on honeymoon and they set up the room beautifully for us. We will be sure to stay longer next time.

The road to the resort is not the best. They have a shuttle, thank god because I wouldn’t have want to drive it myself, but still it’s a 3km bumpy road which is not comfortable in any form of transportation. Also it’s a bit out of the way of everything since it’s on a hill, so if you don’t like the road there and back, you’re kinda stuck eating all your meals at the resort.

The view from the pool is incredible. Also it’s a nice and quiet resort. The staff is super nice and attentive and remembers your name and lodge number. The lodge is big and the bed is super comfy!!

The music in the lobby and especially in the massage parlor, would expect something more relaxing. You cannot get a Grab or Gojek in Amed area apparently (some taxi mafia does not allow it). But you can use the Grab app to get a pricing of your trip. We needed to go to Seminyak which Grab priced at 600k, the cheapest taxi the hotel could get us was 900k.. 50% more. I would expect a 5 stars hotel to be able to get me better deals than that.. The trip to Amed is long, my brother got sick so I tried to cancel the non refundable night to spare it, hotel did not accept despite 2 days notice, Ive known more flexible hotels.

Great view. Stylish and clean rooms. Good value restaurant. Superb value massages, less than 20£ for a 60min Balinese massage.

Our initial organization for our wedding was difficult and not handled well, causing some stress, but in the end they made up for everything by hosting such a beautiful, special wedding day for us!

The bugs!...Although we understand this can't be helped in certain areas in Bali and bug spray is provided we had at least 30/40 of these long flange millipedes all over our villa daily.

Going all the way uphill in the transfer car, which was cute though. But the road is not the easiest and you must inform the receptionist each time you're planning to take the transfer. One time we were running late and they sent the driver to pick us up from the cafe, which was super helpful. The food at the restaurant is average, on a pricey side. Tataki was good though. Massage was also ok. I think bigger towns like Canggu have more professional salons. In the room I lacked a drying rack and one more chair.

I didn't expect to have a separate house with a terrace which had a stunning view and also a big bed, where you can chill enjoying the view. The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom had even a small garden. The design of the whole place is very natural, a lot of wood and plants. The staff was excellent, very thoughtful and attentive. The place has such insane views, that it really worth it going all the way up the the mountain to have that view and the infinity pool. Bathroom amenities were very nice, especially the shower gel with a good fragrance. There were no mosquitoes around, or any other insects in the room. I'd recommend taking a snorkeling trip organised by the hotel, and go to underwater temple and pyramids where we saw turtles.

Having to book a shuttle and wait for it to drive you to and from the resort can be a little bit of a hastle.

The view, the helpfullness and frendliness of the staff. Always aware of our needs and always there to help when needed. Amazing view and just an incredible place to stay.

Amazing staff, special thanks to Gede Karang who was super friendly, professional and provided great recommendations on activities in Amed. Loved the room decor and outdoor bathroom. Restaurant over looking the pool was very calming. Such a wonderful place that I will definitely be back to visit!
