Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOur room was on the 10th floor and there was no lift! On our last day there was very limited breakfast options. A bit of a hilly walk in and out of town (trade off for being close to the airport)
Beautiful room, beautiful view, walking distance to airport. Netflix on tv (and other on demand). Organised trip for us

United StatesThis facility could really use a lift/elevator. Going up 8 flights of stairs anytime you wanted to leave would be a real hassle it you were there for more than a day or two.
Friendly staff and clean, well appointed rooms.

AustraliaOur only negative commentary was that it was a little expensive, but it is a brand new hotel on a less visited Island so I guess it's understandable. However, I am perfectly happy to pay a little extra for this hotel if that money is what maintains the level of quality service we experienced in our stay.
We had an incredible stay at the Parlezo Hotel! The Staff and Service was absolutely incredible. Our beds were made daily and our room kept to an incredibly tidy standard. The room was, in all regards, perfect. The rooms were designed in a smart, crisp and very neat way that exceeded the quality of any other hotel we've stayed at in Indonesia. The laundry and food services were incredibly swift an efficient (Which was very much appreciated). You got the sense that the staff working there took genuine pride in giving you the best experience possible. In terms of location it was very good, a little out of town but Labuan Bajo isn't a particularly big town so getting around was still incredibly easy and you could get a bit of a break from the busyness of the town centre. It was also less than 500m away from the Airport terminal so we could simply walk from the airport to the hotel without having to deal with over-priced airport taxi's. Lots of Love from Australia 🇦🇺

United StatesFar from restaurants, poor street lighting on the walk into town, but at least the sidewalks were plenty wide.

My parents stayed here. Very friendly staff, walking distance to town. Nice fuss free place to stay. No elevator, so it's basically a stay with free workout (because food in komodo is too good you have to clock some steps in).

NetherlandsAs all other reviews, yes, there is no elevator and we got the highest level poasible - 8th. Not a major complaint but to keep in mond for more immobile people. The sheets were stained as they are not properly washed. Apparently in Indonesia washing cycles are short and with almost no detergent or cleaning chemicals. Location is a bit far from anything, except airport. You need car or scooter transport to reach restaurants.
New property built around 6 months before our visit. Room and bathroom looks new and modern.

Germany- the room could be cleaner (big spider web incl spider at the ceiling, stains on the bed sheets) - some of our clothes had stains after the laundry, however, they took the clothes back and removed the stains
- Friendly staff, they supported us to book the Komodo boat tour, rent a scooter and laundry. We were also able to extend our stay for one night - spacious rooms - nice bathroom - delicious breakfast - close to the airport and a short scooter drive to the city Center

ThailandIf the bathroom fan was on a sewer smell permeated the room.
Parlezo was wonderful! The hotel is beautiful and the room was large and exceptionally clean. Wifi was fast. The staff were lovely and kind. Breakfast selection was very good. The location of Parlezo is excellent. It is far from the hustle and bustle of the busy part of Labuan Bajo and as such we had great night of sleep. It is a 3 minute drive to the airport. We used hotel airport transfer for 50,000 IDR. One evening we walked down to the hill to have dinner and it was a pleasant 15 minute walk. I wish we had booked at Parlezo for our first night in Labuan Bajo! Do be aware that there is no elevator. Our room was on the 6th floor - the staff carried our luggage to our room.

SwedenThe service at this hotel is not as good as expected. The staff are friendly but don’t provide the service expected at this price range. Few examples: we rented a scooter through the hotel. The scooter was in very bad condition, seat completely worn out and broken, the front of the bike loose and the helmet we were given didn’t have a working buckle, so useless. The staff did not see the issue with this, and asked us to pay directly in cash. We also asked for laundry service. They took our laundry and promised delivery next day, after 2 days we had to ask for it, at first they couldn’t find it, and then when they did we got it back still damp and had to pay cash straight away, not able to put on the hotel bill. At triple the cost from the laundry service 100m from the hotel. The breakfast is mainly Indonesian food, very basic western options.
New hotel i LB, beautifully decorated, very nice rooms, great shower and comfortable bed. Walkable distance to town (although uphill 15 min to go back…). Very close to the airport, walkable.

RomaniaWe loved it and it was among the nicest we had in Indonesia so far. As a suggestion, you might consider adding a hairdryer to the room.
My only regret is we didn’t stay here in our first night too 😅 The hotel is nicely furnished, rooms are very spacious, they also have a balcony and the stuff is extremely helpful and polite.

GermanyJust minor things
The room is tastefully furnished, the bathroom is large enough with storage space, subtle lighting, room service every day. The restaurant offers a large selection of dishes, also very good. The staff, like everywhere in Indonesia, helpful and friendly. So far the best accommodation in Indonesia.

GermanyThe accommodation is very basic, and many steps to walk up. For us it was 7 staircases. I just want to warn others to not make the same mistake as we. We have booked the 2D/1N boat snorkeling with the hotel, in a private cabin. This was much more expensive than anyone else paid on our boat (I obviously did not know that the hotel took such a big margin) but the worst part is that they forgot to bring snorkeling equipment for my son. My 6 years old son was charged like an adult, but they had zero preparation for him. I have contacted the hotel immediately when we found out that the snorkeling equipment is missing and they have refused to be supportive in any way. Please be warned, don’t book any tours with them, they have no sense of feeling responsible. There was not even a swimming vest for my son, and the boat I have booked with them was actually not the one either. Instead of the promised double bed we got a bunk bed…

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing all perfect
One of the cleanest places we have stayed at in the whole of Indonesia, the standard is what you expect in Europe , very modern rooms and bathroom , cleaned daily, the staff super helpful, let us store luggage the night before while we went on a road trip and organized our trip to Komodo island cheaper than doing it directly. Good hot shower and comfortable bed and great aircon. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here as we looked at several around Labuan bajo and this was far better than anything we saw for the price
