A little out of the way from beaches, but motorbikes can be rented and/or owner more than happy to drop you off and pick you up from any location on the island.

Comfortable beds, good Aircon, really lovely owner, who couldn't be more helpful in helping me during my stay, from lifts on his motorbike to helping me fort my SIM card. Deep in nature, away from busy streets.

Owner is super nice and wants to help any time he can. Very good stay for the price paid. I stayed one more night and he made everything easy and smooth! Would advise! Calm spot where tou can easily relax!

Both nights the power went out at some point, the second night from about 1am-6am which made it quite warm in the room. I managed by wetting my hair but was very grateful when it came back on in the morning. Still 10/10 place as that is totally out of Made's control, but should be something others can be aware of that happens from time to time.

Made is an amazing host! He picked me up and dropped me off at the harbor upon request and rented me my first scooter, which helped me build confidence to drive on Penida! He also offered daily light breakfast of coffee/tea and toast with a packaged strawberry jam. Loved that he had water refill. I was the only guest on my second night at the hostel, and he was always looking out for me. Room was spotlessly clean, towel provided, cold shower, and a very comfortable bed. AC functioned well enough to cool the room when you slept, but once the sun was on the room it warmed up quickly, a great place for those who rise before 9am! Decent restaurants within walking distance, and Made was kind to offer me a ride wherever I needed on my first night.

It’s about 20/30 meter walk from the main road and you will want a torch/light on phone if you are to walk this small road as it is not lit and there are dogs wandering about.

Very kind host, I was ill during my stay and he took me to the hospital and made sure I was seen to before returning to pick me up. Room and toilet cleaned daily. Comfortable bed.

The pressure of one shower was a bit low but manageable.

Loved this place I extended my stay and was sad to leave, for a solo traveler that like privacy these rooms are convenient only 4 beds in each room so nothing overwhelming. Two toilets and showers which was also a bonus. The hostel is very friendly and very helpful, hiring a bike was easy and the dogs that greet you make it that much nicer to come home to. The location is convenient only a short drive and any direction and your at the beach. Because it’s situated on top of the hill you get amazing views of balis volcano if you go early morning

Note, cold shower (but not a problem in this heat) and no curtains for privacy. Wifi kinda slow, but still gets the job done.

Basic but functional. Simple breakfast, two toasts with jam and fruit. A kitchen and fridge available. Host and family are friendly and kind. The AC works well! I enjoyed my stay, didn't spend much time there (it's also quiet and not social) but slept well and great value for money! Thanks!

The area was a bit far from the beaches/good eating options. Breakfast was just bread and Jam so could be better, but for the price you can't really complain!

Great laid back hostel with spacious rooms and two bathrooms per one 4 bed dorm. I like the wooden design and porch area to relax. Quiet area of the island so I slept really well here!

I planned to stay 2 nights here and ended up extending 3 times. It’s a very peaceful place to read, journal, relax and have solitude but there were also other travelers to talk with when I wanted to socialize. I didn’t rent a bike but I felt comfortable and safe walking all around the island. I walked to mushroom bay or the nearby secret beaches everyday. The room was clean with a comfy bed and air conditioning. They provide a breakfast of toast, jam, fruit, coffee and tea. A lovely hostel on a beautiful island. I wish I could have stayed longer. Also, the owners are very helpful and kind. They picked me up from the port and dropped me back at the port.

Calm, lovely hostel on Lembongan. Made, the host is super helpful & sweet. Rooms are clean and spacious. Will definitely be back when I visit the island again. He serves some breakfast and dropped me off at the harbor 🤗. You could rent a scooter from him, or book trips as well! Thanks Made!

There was only a small mirror, but it was okay.

I liked that the location was farther from the action. It was quiet enough to enjoy Nusa Lembongan's peace. The breakfast was a good start, I would usually add a little more of my own granola and spreads to the meal to compliment it. It felt like cabin camping with ensuite bathrooms, there were two bathrooms in each dorm. The host was wonderful and provided us with rides to and from the harbor on arrival and departure and helped with scooter Rental, surf board rental and even helped to arrange the ferry to other islands.

The owner was very helpful and wanted to make sure all his guests were comfortable. He offered me and other guests a ride with his bike to our next destination, and I appreciate this a lot! The beds are comfy, and the dorms are specious, with 2 bathrooms in each doorm of 4 beds! The instalation is green, the atmosphere chilled! From the hostal, I enjoyed a nice walk to dream and mushroom beach, reachable by 30 min chilled walk. Loved it! It was a pleasure to have shared such a lovely time! Terima kasih!

We could hear everything from the room next door. The breakfast was very simple. They only had coffee and bread wth jam. Very yummy anyway! :)

The staff was great, and the owner was a legend. He has been very helpful and kind, helping us with the bikes, taxis, and tours and showing us the local culture and folklore. They even lent us local clothes to attend to their local ceremony. He was an ambsoulte legend. The beds were really comfortable and the rooms had aircon. They made our beds every day.

The family that runs the Uma Hostel is absolutely amazing. They are friendly, helpful and fun. Every morning they make a good&simple breakfast (tea, toast with jam, fruits) which for us really made a nice difference. The place is really nice: perfect location to go towards all directions on the island, it's green, and it has 4 rooms of only 4 beds, which makes it really cosy and not too busy. If we come back to the island, without any doubt we will go back to Uma Hostel.
