How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Toilet was a bit noisy after flushing, and it wasn't properly secured to the floor.

The structure and furnishment of the hotel would need a bit of renovation.
Big and comfortable room and bathroom. Nice breakfast. Good position near the centre of Labuan Bajo

This is a little remote but very cute group of buildings. You are perfectly located to the hang gliding for fantastic watching or take a ride yourself.

They only thing missing in the room was a little fridge. Close proximity to the mosque (you wake up early!)
Room was really nice with a big balcony (room Melati). Beautiful garden and swimming pool. The snack box they prepared for my early Komo trip departure was great! Different breads, fruits, veggies. Make sure you try the quesadillas rendang in the restaurant! They arranged Gunung Mas bus to Ruteng for me at no extra costs and made sure everything went smoothly.

Hotel was on a busy street with lots of road noise. Hill to/from town and stairs up to the hotel were challenging at times in the heat.
Pool area and restaurant were lovely. Staff were kind and helpful.

it was sufficiently clean, but some stains and not really well kept.
we arrived late in the day for only one night to go the day after on a 3 day 2 night cruise, therefore we only needed a place for the night. it did look a little less good that in the photos and the breakfast was basic, but still for the low price was reasonable.

Unfortunately Pool was closed due to maintenance. We asked for a discount because the pool was the main reason we booked this place, offered free cancellation instead. We stayed anyway. Airport pickup is overpriced, take the regular taxi instead!
Clean simple room with small balcony, breakfast was good. Overall good value for money

Had to give a time for breakfast but then still had to wait whilst it was being cooked, repeatedly asked what time we were checking out, pillows like rocks. Not real juice served at breakfast.
Pool, shower and WiFi. Room with balcony was a good size and had a nice view. Clean. The location is a bit far from the centre of town.

Shower didn’t had much pressure. Internet was quite weak.
The location was very central in the city. You could easily walk to the harbour. They have a beautiful swimming pool that resembles a beach. Breakfast was very delicious. Staff was very helpful.

The price was for the indonesian standard a bit high
Large and clean room, location in the center of Labuan Bajo, friendly staff, very nice swimming pool and restaurant area, very good breakfast.

On the reservation confirmation it says that check out is between 12:00 and 12:30. At 12:00, when we were packing, there was already a knock on the door saying that we had to leave. The room is too expensive for this standard. The air conditioner was leaking, the bathroom door didn't close, the funnel in the bathroom only runs hot water, a very noisy area.
Swimming pool, breakfast to get bed linen, table to put things.

The hotel does not provide a laundry service, however, there are laundry stores nearby.
The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The pool and restaurant were great also. Location is great too. Staff are super friendly. I would stay here again.

The room was not very clean, especially the sheets that had stains on them. Also the towels didn’t smell that well either. Not sure where all the good reviews about cleanliness come from.
The outdoor pool seemed nice.

Bathroom with warm water shower, door to bathroom wasn't really a door, but more a sliding curtain. Staff seemed nice, was limited english.
Stayed for 2 nights before boat trip. Close to airport, about a 20-30min walk to pier. Room was good yet basic. Bed was nice, pillow a bit too solid for my taste. Drinking water free to use outside the room. Pool was nice and clean with beanbags to use, no sunbeds. Towels were provided. Restaurant was fine, nothing fancy - same with breakfast. WiFi was great, in both rooms and at poolarea.
