Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Puerto RicoThe beds were comfortable but the pillows were not. We could sleep very well.
I like how friendly staff were and how beautiful the interior is. The room itself was perfect and Included everything. Breakfast was good and it was close to our destination.

MexicoNo eggs included in breakfast, it is available with additional cost which was high so we preferred to have breakfast outside. This is basic meal for breakfast, in all city express the eggs were always included so encountering this at city express plus doesn't make any sense to me. Certainly the way eggs are cooked in other city express was with lot of oil so I always have suggested to improve that. The bed was not very comfortable.
Great location within a commercial mall. Facilities are nice. We felt secure in the hotel. Quiet room.

United StatesThe beds were a bit uncomfortable and so were the pillows. The walls were also very thin so you could hear a lot around you, especially from the rooms right next to you and above you.
It was in a convenient location. The mall was right outside the hotel, and it was by two main streets and a subway station.

ItalyThe hotel is located in a great spot in the city in one of the most tradicional and, at the same time, modern areas. Located right next to a shopping mall it is close to anything you may need and transportation is right across the street. I would suggest it for a stay of a few days in the city.

Costa RicaPrice is pretty expensive to not include a full breakfast. The one that's included is just continental, cols breakfast (meaning fruit, sandwich and granola). If you want eggs or omelettes you have to pay extra, which is a bit ridiculous if you're already paying well over $700 usd for a week's stay. Room cleaning was off somedays. They took my towels and I had to call to get the replacement, I got back to my hotel and they had left a hand towel on top of the phone next to the red bed lining that was also on top of the phone as opposed to their respective places. It's not a big deal at all but again, I feel the place was too expensive for the cleaning staff to not be able to pla e the towels properly. Lastly: you can hear absolutely everything. The people in the room next door had a really loud kid and they'd go to bed very late. I could even hear when the guy had to pee. Also duri g the first 2 nights I'd wake up at odd hours because it'd sound like someone was getting in my room, but it turned out to be the neighbor's trying to get in their room, but the door and keycard sounded very loud.
Great location, overall. It's not in downtown CDMX but it's in a very nice, safe area. It also has a small shopping center with a Walmart, Starbucks, olive garden, pf changs, IHOP and a great Mexican restaurant called El Bajío. You have lots of known places to eat from at least on your first day. I'd encourage Yo obviously not eat there all the time as MX has amazing food. The bed is super comfortable, and I loved the blackouts as they truly make the room very dark. I'm a light sleeper and I slept beautifully all week.

United StatesI request the room with balcony when I did the reservation, when we went there they don’t have idea, she toll us that she change the room next day before one pm, nobody call so we went to the front desk and the manager do her best to change our room and she did. We ask for that room because I am claustrophobic.

United StatesI wish the breakfast could have been a little longer - maybe until 10 rather than 9? There was one day with no toilet paper. Even though it was convenient to be near many stores, they were mainly international franchises so nothing very uniquely Mexican to buy or eat. We had to go else where to eat Mexican like Cocoyan was a nice area. I wish I had understood how the underground worked earlier. It was a much better and a more efficient mode of transportation.
Everything was clean and neat and the staff were very nice. There was no one who really spoke English well so we had a few major miscommunications - especially about the exact location of the arrival of UBER cars. They often did not come to the entrance but rather to a curbside around the corner

FinlandBreakfast was very mediocre compared to what we had expected when booking. The bathroom included only a fixed shower which makes it hard to wash fully. The hotel booked us a taxi to the airport upon departure, but the driver (who was selected by the hotel itself as its own collaborator) tried to charge extra plus only accepted cash despite our agreement to pay by card.
The room was spatious, with very comfortable beds. It included a desk and chair and the wifi signal was very good (which was important for our stay as we were on a business trip). Both the bathroom and the room were kept very clean. We were offered new water bottles each day, very practical and handy. The staff at the reception was very friendly and tried to answer all our questions. The hotel is located quite centrally and next to a shopping mall, which made our daily life/work while in Mexico City easier.
