Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

VietnamHave nothing that I don't like, to be honest.
I will definitely choose this hotel for my future trips to Kuala Lumpur for many reasons. Firstly, it is very modern. The bathroom, lights, air conditioning, safe locket, and everything in my room are modern, are good quality. The view from window is beautiful enough, and there are many other amenities inside hotel such as laundry area, café, dining area, balcony, which make me feel that it is unnecessary to go out to find anything, everything is already available at LYF. The location of LYF is also very convenient for booking taxi or going to Madjis Jamek station, and it is very close to Chinatown (about a 10 min walk), giving me more dining options. Lastly, the attitude of staff at LYF truly satisfied me. They always greet me, smile a lot, and provide very thoughtful and thorough support. I will recommend this hotel to my friends if they have the chance to visit Malaysia.

BangladeshAlthough there isn't much to complain about, nevertheless, there are a few things which we did not like because that could make your stay a bit uncomfortable. First of all, the room lacks drawers or spaces to put your accessories. Moreover, they have placed a hanger type closet which has kind of occupied major space in the room, so it would be difficult for you to place two large suitcase (one had to be put just beside the passage to main door). You cannot access to YouTube using WiFi on TV, but you need to use your smartphone to watch YouTube via screen sharing. This is kind of disturbing as it would drain your phone battery faster. Bed is placed awkwardly just beside the window, so the person sleeping beside the window would be hitting window curtains while moving legs/hands, and this makes a disturbing sound. Their room cleaning isn't up to the mark as we felt it was done hurriedly, ignoring a few things (e.g. not cleaning trash bins properly under kitchen sink, or slippers remained unchanged, fresh towels were not given etc.). Another nuisance could be not providing any remote control for the air-conditioner, so you may need to wake up sometimes to adjust the temperature at night. Lastly, a fine mirror is placed on the wall opposite to the table and this seems ridiculous as you need to sit in one place to groom yourself but turn on the opposite side to see your reflection.
Lyf Chinatown is a gem compared to most of the accommodations in KL. The property is located near Masjid Jamek metro station (7 minutes' walk). The neighborhood is good and you will find restaurants and convenient stores (e.g. KFC, McDonald, 4 Fingers, Indian restaurants, Watsons etc.) in walking distance. The property looks new and has a contemporary style decoration. They have a spacious lobby and reception area including a cafe which is quite cozy and comfortable. The room One of a kind plus (23 m²) is spacious. Room amenities are very useful such as microwave, kitchen, stove top, utensils etc. Their kitchen sink comes with an extra drinking water tap, so you don't need to worry about water anymore. Bathroom is clean and spacious too with sufficient toiletries. The room doesn't have a phone to call room service, However, they have a Whatsapp number which is very responsive, and all you need to do is send them a message or query. Their customer/room service is very prompt and attentive too. We had problems with water leakage from shower door and the hand push shower. On both the occasions, these problems were solved asap. Cleaning is done in every two days, so I think it would be convenient for many who don't want to be bothered about room cleaning every day. They do have a nice gymnasium and roof restaurant/cafe. They also provide free WiFi which has decent speed. Ironing service is free but for laundry, you need to buy coins from them which appeared a bit costly.

SingaporeThe only downside is that the walls are thin and it took me a while to fall asleep the first night as I could hear my neighbours chatting, snoring and walking around.
I love all the funky design elements like the custom wallpaper and how well designed and equipped my little apartment was. My favourite part was lyf not using plastic water bottles and installing filters in the kitchenettes and the mini pantries on each level instead. The location, around the corner from Chinatown, was so convenient.

Amazing Location and Property! Extremely Clean. Beautiful room. Very creative design. Love it. Smooth check in and out and friendly staff. Located in a quiet street and just 30 min walk to Petronas. Even closer to Central market and Menara KL. Just love this place. Had plenty of towels in the room and all amenities. Just the breakfast needs improvement.

RussiaMy room window looked out on some electric transformer. Even thought I was living on 11th flour - I heard an electricity sound at night time. It maybe be quite important for people who can sleep only with complete silence.
I would say it's really good place to stay. So enthusiastic and pleasant personnel, energising you for the whole day :) 24/7 reception working hours Nice view from a room Vending machine, as well as 2 cafes and a small gym with a small rooftop I would say breakfasts are also good (maybe for someone not a huge amount of options - but anyway) Walkable distance to the Pavilion Many good and cheap restaurants around
